The ETF and CIB paced outside the operation theatre. The expressions on each of the ETF members' faces showed desperation. Desperation, to know if the person fighting for his life inside was winning or not? Yes, it was Arjun who had been shot. Though they had never expressed it, all of them, Shree, Chotu and Sameer. Yes, Sameer, not Rathod. All of them had cared for Arjun. All of them respected and cherished him. After all, one of them had a treasured past with Arjun. Sameer missed those days. Days when he and Arjun had been the best of friends. Buddies! He remembered those days as he sat in the waiting room, praying to the almighty to save his "Juno".

(Flashback)

"Sam.. Sam" came the voice. Echoing through the empty hall. "Haan Juno! Main yahan hoon! Apne bedroom main." "Phir 'Juno'... main pak chuka hoon is nick-name se. kuch aur nahi soch sakta kya?" Arjun said as he entered the room with a mock anger in his tone. "chal hat! Mujhe bhi pata hai aur tujhe bhi, ke tujhe acha lagta hai ye nick-name," Sameer said. "acha ji? Aur aap batane ka kasht karenge, Mr Sameer Dhamsingh Rathod k aapko kaise pata?"

"Zaroor Mr Arjun Suryakant Raute! Aapne hi to bataya tha!"

"Chal joothe! Maine aisa kuch nahi kaha!"

"Kehne ki kya zaroorat hai JUNO… main tere DIL ki baat samajh jata hoon."

Arjun, teasing Sameer, looks up towards the ceiling and says, "Hey Bhagwaan! Twilight main Edward sirf dimaag ki baat ko padh kar samajh jata tha aur vo bhi Bella ka dimaag nahi padh sakta tha.. ab ye meri zindagi ke SAM ko Edward kyun bana rahe ho? Chalo Edward banana hai to banado, par atleast mujhe iske khilaaf koi defence to do"

"OYE SAALE! Tujhe main Vampire dikhta hoon?"

"Maine ka kaha k tu Vampire hai. Maine to sirf itna kaha k tu Edward hai!" Saying this, Arjun starts running.

Sameer runs after Arjun. "Ruk Ruk! Bhagta kahan hai? Abhi dikhata hoon ye Edward kya karta hai, salle! RUK TU!"

"Kya Sam! Vampires k paas to Super-speed hoti hai! Aur tujhe to dekho!"

Sameer thinks, "ek baar theek ho ja Juno…. Please. Ab main tujhe kabhi kuch nahi hone doonga."

While all of them were desperate for reassurance, they failed to note that Riya was going into shock. It was after some time that Sanjana and Sameera saw Riya looking lost and they thought that she was worried. They went to comfort her. "Riya," Sanjana began but Riya didn't reply. "Riya," she tried again. There was no answer. Panicked, she turned to Sameera. "Riya" Sameera called but there was again no answer. Now, Sameera and Sanjana were getting worried. "Shree," Sameera called out, "Idhar aao please! Dekho Riya ko kya hua hai!" Shree turned and ran towards Riya. Everyone turned around to face Shree and Riya. If Shree cared for Arjun, he simply LOVED his best friend. Shree looked at Riya and shook her but she didn't respond. He called a doctor who was passing by. The doctor took a look at Riya and checked her pulse, then her eyes. "Oh no," the doctor said, "she has gone into shock! Why are you here?" Shree explains everything. The doctor asks if Arjun is a relative or anything of Riya's but everyone says that it was not the case. The doctor says that it would be best to shift Riya into a room and give her sedatives so that she can rest. Maybe that would help bring her out of shock. All ETF agree.

Riya is shifted into a private room but she still doesn't respond. She is given sedatives and slowly slips into unconsciousness. Everyone except Sameer, Shree and Chotu go out to let Riya rest. The ETF was already worried for Arjun and now Riya too.

An hour later, the doctors who were operating Arjun, came out of the OT. They went to Ashutosh and asked for Sameer. Ashutosh called Sameer outside and Chotu accompanied him. Shree, who was holding the hands of a sleeping Riya, refused to even move. "Dekhiye ACP Rathod, ACP Rawte ab khatre se bahar hain. Magar hosh aane main onhe thoda waqt lagega. Kitna waqt? Ye main nahi keh sakta. But ghabraane ki koi baat nahi hai," the doctor said. Sameer was relieved. His friend was OK. "thank you Doctor! Thank you so much," he said. "Arre iski koi zaroorat nahi hai," the doctor said, "bas aapko thodi baaton ka dhyaan rahkna hoga. Jaise ACP Rawte ko zyada stress na ho. Aur onke Ribs pe goli lagi hai to onhe rest ki bahut zyada zaroorat hai." "main in sab baaton ka dhyaan rakhoonga Doctor. Thank you once again!"

Everyone was relieved for Arjun but they still worried about Riya. She still hadn't gained consciousness. But the doctor said that they needn't worry about her. It was probably the stress of Arjun that had her in this state. Once she woke up, they would assure her that Arjun was fine and she would be OK! Since Arjun and Riya both were OK, the CIB saw no point in waiting. They already had all the necessary evidence against all those involved in the racket and so, taking permission from Rathod, the CIB went and arrested everyone involved. The case was finished and both officers were fine but still unconscious. The ETF team prayed for both the officers to wake up so they could go home. But for now, all they could do was wait!

She found herself in a dark alley. There was no one around and it scared her. "Shree!" she screamed. But no answer. "Chotu! Sameer SIR!" Then she felt as if someone was calling her name. "Riya!!!" she heard. "It was HIM," her heart said, "But where was he?" She turned around, looking, searching for him. She just wanted to see him once, feel his presence. She wanted him to come to her and save her from this place. Suddenly, the scene changed. She saw him. And then, she was a gun, pointing straight at him. She wanted to shout at him to look behind. But no voice would come out of her mouth. "Arjun! Look behind," she wanted to say, "GET AWAY FROM THE GUN! SAVE YOURSELF!" then she heard a shot and saw his shocked face. He put his hand on his stomach and then took it away and looked at it. She could see it too, covered with blood. HIS blood. "ARJUN!!!!"

"ARJUN!!!!" She screamed as she sat up straight. Shree who was holding her hand and had also slipped into deep sleep beside her, sat up straight. He was shell-shocked at seeing Riya crying uncontrollably. He held her hand tighter and tried to calm her and the panic attack he felt when she didn't respond. Riya kept on sobbing and repeating Arjun's name. Shree immediately understood. "Riya! Arjun sir is absolutely fine!" At once, Riya turned to look at him. " He is fine Riya! Vo bilkul theek hain. He is fine!" Shree kept on repeating it, hugging her to calm her down. Slowly, her sobs slowed down and she was able to think properly. Shree helped her lean against the bed.

They sat there for half an hour and Shree kept on looking at Riya with angry eyes. Riya knew what was going on in his mind but didn't say anything but kept on shying away from his gaze. Finally, she couldn't take it anymore and said, "OK, What?" "You lied Riya," Shree said simply, "tune mujhse jhoot bola! You still love him, don't you?"
