I never thought I would ever be able to write a word on MEIEJ again. Given how the CVs have turned Rishabala equation, a RamblingReck post on Rishabala is out of question. Anyway, this is not a post on Rishabala, but on RK's dream. Though not a fan of RK, VD's brilliant acting in this scene prompted me to pen this down. Hope you all enjoy reading it.
"RK", He heard her calling him.
'She is here. Madhu is here.' He runs to her. "Madhu, are you alright?"
She doesnt answer. Instead she looks away from him. He traces her line of sight and sees the familiar eyes of the man who dropped her in at the chawl that night. 'Who is this man? What is he to Madhu?.
"Who are you? Why are you hiding yourself in the dark." How can he make sure this Unknown man doesnt take her away?
The tempo of the music rises... Deva deva... And he realizes 'This is no ordinary man. He is a powerful man. A strong and brutal one.'
The man stretches out his arms. 'How dare he claim her? She is only mine.'
"Madhu is my Biwi. If you want her, you have to go through me." He says. He is sure she will not choose The man over him. He looks at her for assurance. She steps forward. He is incredulous. "Madhu...?" A faint foreshadowing of his loss falls over him. 'No, it cant be. He cant take her away from me'. He steps in her path.
A dagger. He sees the dagger in The man's hand.
Wasnt this a beautiful scene! He doesnt acknowledge he loves her. But his insecurities has started to affect him. He realises there is a man who is brutal and strong enough to threaten his Haq over her and she might actually choose the guy over him. The fact that he fears losing Madhu was the only thought that made the Dewar-Bhabhi hug bearable. Otherwise đĄđ¤˘đđź
