Chemistry was missing today.

I found Chemistry was completely missing between Shiv and new Anandi. The charm is not their. And when Shiv asked her to say 3 words she failed to bring the shynesss / expression on her face,

I think she is old for poor shiv also. Sumitra doesn;t look her mother from any angel. In fact Ganga New Anandi amd Sumitra looks same and gehna looks their younger sister. PH knows that this Anandi may not last long.

first Toral and Sid needs time to be comfortable with each other and only then they will have some chemistry...don't worry it may take time but it will happen soon...Toral does not look old for Sid but looks perfect to play a 26 yrs old woman...Sumitra is at least 45+ or maybe 50 but she doesn't look like that from any angle and even Gehna is older than Anandi (maybe 7-8 years old)...so they need to do something to show aging factor in Gehna and Sumitra because in case of Sumitra except for weight nothing has changed much.

What you said is absolutely true.. Today they were Sid and Toral, not Shiv and Anandi.. There was no sparkle in either's eyes nor there seemed any unsaid connection between the two.. Shiv's very smile had always seemed mischievous and straight from heart when he was trying to bait Anandi.. Moreover how many scenes have we enjoyed when both shared a silence yet spoke volumes through slight gestures..

wen sid had entered he had instant chemistry with pratz...although anandi n jagya also made a good pair..but sid broke tht barrier n instantly shiv n anandi looked good.
Infact sidyusha had great chemistry in tht BV party too just before shiv's entry...they didnt need time to get comdortable n create chemistry n how long does one need? its already a week.
T and Shiv hav no chemistry at all...n T's acting her body language everything is below avg...
Frankly only sid is runninh the show but he cant create magic all alone...their scenes look bland n fake...n BV is anyways lifeless now...Its days r numbered

This is the Nth such thread about Toral looking old or new Anandi being un-suitable.

Well I don't think Anandi needed to be shy in the 3 words scene in today's episode because it was shown that she was now ready to make her confession and was fully comfortable with Shiv now.

So why expect her to show shyness or remind of the girl who suffered pain? Hadn't Anandi been shown to overcome her past and resolved her inner awkwardness about love/intimacy?

I also felt Toral didn't instantly click in the "jodi". But the show isn't primarily about jodis.

Plus Prats was also criticised initially (everything from her hairstyle to her way of speaking), her pairing with Shashank was criticised (saying he was more handsome and too tall for her), then some Sid fans suddenly cropped up in the forum and bashed Prats making fun of her looks and height (remember those abusive threads that labelled her as a bauni/dwarf?) and Sid was called a flop actor, misfit in a show like BV!

I think I've become used to such things now. So I do not think much when a shuffle occurs in BV (its charm has been on-off ever since its first leap) and I do not feel much strongly about actors or reactions to them.

CVs managed to make people get used to Prats, Sid, Shashank and even managed to hold fort when Surekha Sikri took a long break. They'll work around their way and make people get used to new Anandi too - as part of Ansh jodi also.

its not just abt looks...her acting sucks...there's no expression in her eyes...her voice is too shrill and her expressions are blank...i get a feeling as if i m watching a street play.
A good actress can overcome her lack of looks by her acting...T miserably fails in tht

I saw small online video of Ansh with Toral. It was below average material, seriously.
There is no continuity of character I feel. It looks like an alien show to me.
Even story wise, I feel there are so many new characters & story line. BV has started looking over crowded - Sanchi, shekhars, Ganga-Mannu...
Pratyusha going was the final nail in the coffin. The lead also looks new!! The one thing which made me hold on & connect me with show. Sid is awesome, but alone what all can he do??? :( :(

I have watched from the 1st episode & never missed a SINGLE BV episode till this change.
Sad, but no regrets.

I hope you know Prats was criticised for her acting too and she didn't evolve in a day. Avika was thought to be way more talented than her and several threads used to crop up comparing the two.

I do not think Toral's acting "sucks" completely. She was good in the women power/save Mannu episode. Only in romantic scenes she was lacking (and it was bound to happen because viewers were shown all the lovey dovey Ansh scenes recently between Prats and Sid!). Toral does need to evolve and keep working on herself.

I trust BV CVs (they never chose a wrong actor, in fact they brought out some of TV's best actors out of hibernation like Surekha Sikri and the guy who plays Mahaveer Singh, and they gave best child actor talents like Avika, Avinash and the little girl who used to play Phooli). Everyone from Prats, Shashank, Sid, Anjum was moulded by CVs who worked on them. I feel if they work on Toral, she'll fit in too.
The only case they faltered in was Gehna's. Totally wrong actress and worst handling of such a strong character (the first true rebel-crusader of BV).

The makers have been unwise in establishing Ansh jodi if they had to replace the lead. Backlash was a given then. Somewhere viewers are also to blame for we were also impatient for Anandi's personal life to move on, a new man in her life, fed up of over-focus on Jagya etc. So they brought in Sid.

Too many drags and departures of actors happened in this show...I do think its days are numbered if they don't handle it right.

As for looks, I don't want go into it much. Prats wasn't a looker either. Toral is okay except that her smile is too broad. I like her voice better, it is stronger. But her dialogue delivery needs fine-tuning. Her personality is strong (even when she doesn't speak). I kind of like these aspects. I find her sort of closer to Avika's Anandi (before DS brainwashed her). So I am willing to give her a chance.

Look, she won't be kicked out any time soon no matter what her faults are. Sooner or later people will either get used to her or look to some other show to stick to.

The only things I DO NOT want are: Anandi's character totally butchered like Gehna's and Ganga becoming some parallel lead or something. BV is about Anandi. It must remain about her MAINLY. Not some Ganga! I'd disliked over-focus on Gauri and Gehna too. I don't want Anandi sidelined in any way no matter who plays the character!
