lovely post anita..and i agree wid ur conclusion..Toral plays an anandi who is in a content and confident phase in her life..and lets keep her tht way..now i wish the CVs keep the anandi we see now, more involved in her career and husband thn running to the singhs every two minutes trying to help thm solve sum non-issue..the anandi we see now, actually and as intended seems to be an extension of avika'a anandi..and we like it..

Toral is more like Avika minus Pratyusha.

Esha, what happens is...when a person is in love..and when he/she is ready to accept happiness in life putting aside his/her horrified past... all these hesitations and inhibitions will disappear the next moment..Realization changes peoples attitude and their approach towards life instantly.

Even if Pratts remained in the show, i guess we would have seen child Anandi's qualities in her. That was probably why the cV's made Anandi fall in love with Shiv abrubtly! It is unfortunate that the actress has changed just at the time of the character's realization moment. Hence it might appear to be an abrupt change while in real sense it is just the continuation of her character.

Jagya has changed from a shifty eyed liar to a mature responsible person with very good behavior. If Shashank was replaced by some other actor during this transition phase, it would have been hard to accept..and it would have looked like an entirely different personality. Fortunately Shashank remained in the show, allowing us to connect to his new behavior.

To put it in a nut shell i think changing the actor exactly during the character's transition period is making it appear like an abrupt change.

We still have not seen interaction with Shiv ( on romantic aspect ) as yet...She was inhibited towards him only on that aspect...Otherwise., she has been quite open., confident and strong self.

So., let's wait & watch.

Samvi.,

The onus is on the CV's as well as actors now., as to how they will develop the track and the track will be justified by the actors., to soften the blow on us.

As of now., I haven't felt there is any abrupt change in the personality / character of A...except for the individual variance which will have to be accepted when there is a change in the actor.

But the way she will behave with Shiv when they come face to face., will have to be watched to finally decide.

I like your view points and I agree that let's wait to see Toral's A interacting with Shiv.

So far, not very convinced but let's see how CVs and Toral make it happen

Enjoyed reading all the insightful posts which have also been thought provoking. Since I am on the brink of accepting the transition to be abrupt or otherwise, I would like to clear my thoughts by getting your views on it. Some of you have presented a very logical explanation of why you did not find the transition abrupt. It makes things easier for me to accept.

To give you my reasons of confusion with a few examples: I don't find her exuberance out of place sply since she was meeting one of her most favorite persons after a long period of time. The only thing that looked a little odd to me was her forceful speech. I thought it was too loud and more assertive than what I would expect from a person who although, has almost come out of her inhibitions but is still really not there as yet. My confusion is whether that has been deliberately done by the CVs or if it is just the natural pitch of the actress? The latter case is totally understandable coz that's her natural pitch and nothing can be done about it.

I have enjoyed the discussions with you guys. It reminds me of my old forum days where we had some wonderful discussions. I would appreciate if you could post your views on the written update threads of the episodes when you get the time. There are only a few of us who discuss the show and it would add a lot of dimension to the discussion to have some more views.
