PART 2
"Where did you go?"
"I was getting breakfast ready, why what happened? Are you ok? Are you hurt? Let me look at your wounds."
Noticing the family crowd around, "I'm fine. Just come with me so I don't need to see the cockroaches that should be in the storage unit."
Reaching their room, RK locks the door in hopes of keeping "cockroaches" out of his room.
"Why are you locking the door?" asked Madhu, wondering what her husband was up to this morning.
"I think since I'm your husband, there shouldn't be a problem with me locking the door, or is there?" smirked RK
Rolling her eyes, "So why did you yell at me for?"
"I wasn't yelling. I was just calling for you and you didn't here me the first 10 times, so I decided to call for you a bit louder."
"Yes your royal highness, how may I be of your service?"
Smirking, "Did you have breakfast yet?"
"Well no, I was going to make you some before you called me upstairs. If thats all, let me to downstairs and make you breakfast. You need something in your stomach before taking the medications."
Madhu turns towards the door when RK pulled her back, holding her by her waist. Madhu instinctively places her hands on his chest.
"If you stop flying like a busy bee and listen to me, I've called sasuma this morning and got ourselves invited for breakfast."
Madhu looks up astonished, in a barely audible voice, "why?"
"I know how you would have been expecting me yesterday, so this is a way to make it up to you, unless you don't want to."
"Of course, I want to."
Madhu tries to move out of his arms, but he tightens his hold.
"RK, let me go."
RK smiles as he pulls Madhu closer.
Madhu closes her eyes, her heart pounding faster than ever. She holds her breath as she feels his breath on her face.
"I didn't hold your hand to let go, ever" whispering in her ear, he kisses her cheek and walks way smirking.
I can't wait to tell her how I feel. But not now, I'm going to make it perfect.
OMG! What just happened!! Ahhh I can't believe he just did that!
With blushes from Madhu and smirks from RK, the couple got ready to go off to Madhu's place.
Returning from an eventful breakfast, from RK teasing Madhu in front of her parents to her parents joining in on the teasing, Madhu and RK travel back home with a comfortable silence. Both having smiles on their face, their thoughts going back to the amount of fun they just had.
Their thoughts were replaced with fear as RK presses on the break as they witness a child running across the street amidst the traffic.
RK turns over to Madhu and asks worriedly, "Are you all right?"
"Yes, I'm alright. But what about that kid. We should go and check on him" replies a very worried Madhu.
RK parks the car on the side and they both get out of the car, looking for the kid. However, he is no where to be found. They ask people around them, however no one knew where he went.
Madhu and RK walk around, hoping to spot the kid. They were worried if he had gotten injured or not. While passing an abandon store, they started hearing a faint cry.
RK sees a door, nicely hidden from the world. He wouldn't of noticed if it weren't for the door being slightly opened.
RK turns towards Madhu, "You stay here. I'll go and check out what it is"
Madhu has other plans, "No, we will go in together. I can't stand out here worrying if something happened to you."
Knowing that there was no point in arguing with her, he holds out his hand. Madhu at first looks at his hand and then looks up, giving him a questioning look.
"Its probably dark inside, and I don't want you to get lost."
Smiling, Madhu entwines her hand with RK, and they both moves towards the door.
Inside, it is quite obvious at the first look that it is abandoned with the amount of spider webs and dust particles present.
They at first thought they were imagining the cry, however they heard the cry again, more louder than when they were outside.
"Where is it coming from?" asked a worried Madhu
"I think its coming from inside that room" says RK as he leads her towards the room.
Inside the room, they see the little boy they were looking for and a little girl, a bit older than him.
RK and Madhu listened into the children's conversation, as the children had not realized that they were amongst adults.
"Di, don't worry. Nothing happened. I'm fine. Here is the medicine. I have to go now, before Boss realizes that I'm missing."
"Chote, I'm sorry. This is all because of me."
"Di. Don't get started! We already talked about this before. I'm not leaving you. Not now, not ever."
"If I wasn't bor..."
"DI! Not another word. Here is your medicine. I'm going back to work." says the little boy angrily, and turns around to notice the two adults.
RK and Madhu watches as fear comes across both the childen's faces.
"Who are you? How did you get in here? asked the boy worriedly. I wonder they are the people looking for Di. No matter what, I would not lost Di.
"Are you alright? You ran in front of my car." asked a worried RK, as he looks at the boy to look for any visible injuries.
"Yea, I'm alright. But how did you get in here?"
"I was looking for you..."
"NO!! I'M NOT LEAVING DI! DO WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO DO!" shouts the boy in anger.
Madhu and RK look at each other worriedly. Something more serious is happening here.
"No, we aren't going to separate you from your Di. We just wanted to make sure you were alright and didn't have any injuries."
Madhu goes forward, kneeling in front of the boy, cupping his face, "Are you really alright? We can take you to the hospital to make sure you don't have any internal injuries."
The boy moves backward, standing in front of his Di, "How can you assure me that you weren't paid by my uncle to separate me from my sister?"
Madhu looks up worriedly towards at RK, then looks back at the kids, "where is your father?"
"We don't have a papa. We don't have anyone. We are orphans" replies the young children.
RK and Madhu felt bad for these two children. Having no one in the world to defend for them, they have to defend for themselves at such an young age.
Their thoughts gets distrubted when the young boy shouts, "DI!!" as the young girl faints into his arms.
The young boy tries to wake his sister up, however fails to do so. Crying out, he calls out for his Di to wake up, but his attempts seem to fail.
Madhu and RK move closer towards the young girl and tries to wake her up.
"We need to take her to the hospital RK" says a worried Madhu, worrying for the girl's health.
"NO!! You are not taking her away from me!" shouts the young boy.
"She fainted, she needs medical treatment" says RK trying to control the fear in his voice.
"I've taken care of her so far, I can take care of her now. We don't need your help!" says the boy wanting to believe the people, however was too frightened to do so.
"She needs to see a doctor. Look at her, do you want her condition to worsen?" Madhu asks, praying to God to make sure nothing happens to the girl.
"I..."
RK can see the contemplation of whether to go with them or not on the boy's face.
He reaches out and holds the boy's hands, "Trust me. I want your sister to be well as you do. You come with us, and we will take her to the hospital, ok?"
With the fear of losing his sister, the boy nods his head. Allowing RK to carry her, the boy follows them towards the car.
Once at the hospital, the doctors bring the girl into medical examination, making the trio wait outside.
Waiting outside on the chairs, Madhu sits beside the boy and holds his hand.
The boy looks up to her and asks, "She will be alright, right?"
Looking at the fear of losing his Di in the boy's eyes, Madhu is at lost as to how to answer to the boy. They did not know what her condition was.
Fearing that her voice will give away her fear, Madhu nods her head and pulls the boy into an embrace.
The trio watch on as different nurses come and go into the room, refusing to answer an questions, all replying that the doctor would be with them soon.
The trio send a prayer for the girl, praying that she pulls through.
