does saraswati's dad not say in one of the episodes that its time for his son to get married so that he stops doing all this puja...religious thing etc...

and yet he gets him engaged to a girl from the village who is most likey going to be doing all these things and will inforce the traditions in saraswati!!

would it not make sense to get him engaged to a modern girl like his own wife???

it just does not add up for me 😆😆

i think his father already knows that saars would want a homely type of wife like his biological mother rather than a modern girl so he fixed saras and kumud's marriage. He think that by getting saras married he will grow up and become the business man he wants saras to be and leave all of the pooja's to his wife.

i think the dad knows kumud from before and knows that although she is from a village she has spark and wont sit at home and do pooja all day and will inspire saras to come out of his shell.
