In fact, I'm almost certain that it would be difficult to find even one family where each family member practices Islam in exactly the same way as the other. Similarly, all muslim women do not wear hijab, quite a few muslims believe in Dargahs, etc. Far be it from me to defend Gul in anything, but in all fairness if Gul chooses to portray an aspect of Islam that is already in existence, then she is within her rights.

If she showing us the Muslim culture in serial then she should stick with the accurate practices in Islam.. not with the way some Musliim live..

Totally agree with you Pieryrose. Although a creative medium a show will always be respected more if it adheres to accurate depictions than to take liberty . It is also a good guideline for all when correct practices are depicted . Wish the PH pays more attention.

Thanx Sri... I'm happy that Atleast somebody understands my intentions... So many people are reporting my posts and private messaging me that they are offended with my posts... I feel really bad... I'm not trying to promote my religion or impose the rules and regulations on people but only that the show is not portraying it correctly so I just educate people a little more on the matter since I, as a Muslim, know a lot of the rules and can differentiate the invalid scenarios in QH... I am glad Atleast you understand... My intentions hasn't been to hurt or offend anyone, but only to give a deeper insight...

All the discussions have been a learning experience for me . I find this all very interesting to understand different religious practices, specially the ones different for me but I do find lot of similarities too. Makes me proud to be a citizen of a Secular India

Some? A significant number of muslim women around the world do not wear hijab, and there are many dargahs flourishing in India. I don't see the muslim authorities rushing to close them down for inaccuracy of Islamic practice.

Zoe wore a dress that didn't reveal anything and also,it was a complete female gathering. So her dress was not a problem at all as per the religious rules of Islam too...
Instead of pointing at the length of the top,you should have talked about the jeans,I guess.Jeans is not approved in Islam because a particular piece of division b/w the two legs is absent in jeans. But modernization has made Muslims forget this fact.I've seen people offering naaz in jeans.Personally I've no problem against it but if one talks about the norms of the religion then it is not allowed.
About the recitation of Quran in jeans,I'm not much sure if it could be done in jeans or not.I think Quran recitation in jeans can be acceptable a bit.
And yes,I just loved Dilshad for saying that Zoe's dress didn't reveal a single part of her body and that is why Zoe' dress was inside the tahzeeb category, not outside.

PS-I'm not here to say that Islam is not liberal or if one believes in God then dress is not an issue.I simply stated what has been mentioned in our religious scripts regarding the apparels of women. You may agree or disagree but please don't use my post for any further controversies.

Hi,

As you guys are aware that this topic has a strong tone of discussion regarding the Islamic religion and that is hurting the sentiments of members who are not into discussing many religion topics on a public forum. I know that QH is based on the Islamic religion and culture but there are some times which are appropriate for discussion and some things which aren't and like mentioned before, religion is a sensitive matter and in due respect to the religion, this topic is being closed.
