Well folks,here's my audition experience...
I breezed past the 1st round...the 'judge' was a lady...she was the pre-casting producer...who had such good manners that she was smoking while I was singing.
I sang 4 songs-Mitwa,Chand Sfarish,Ya Ali and Ada. She was impressed with my singing capabilities but told me that they were looking for someone who could sing AND dance. Even then,I was selected for the 2nd round bcoz she liked my confidence and singing prowess.
Palash Sen was the judge in the 2nd round. BTW,I met Lekha Desai and Aabha Hanjura during the 2nd round. They too had come for the auditions but they being 'celebrity contestants',they were directly made to sing in front of Palash...Howz that for partiality.
My 2nd round auditions went well... I sang in front of Palash... I sang Sun zara and Chand sifarish... He gave me really honest and good feedback and compliments... told me where I needed to improve and why he wasnt selecting me for the 3rd round...
He told me I have the right ingredients in me and that I just need to fine tune my singing a bit more through more riyaaz and practice.
While I was getting off stage,he told me "Keep working,gaayega tu." His words were very encouraging.
Anyways,I'm happy with what I derived from the auditions. My goal is Indian Idol anyway,not Fame X.
