hi! ive been away long time but sat down reading a lot of posts and spoilt my mood as well at times
😊
and then there were the nice TR rememberance posts 😃
and then the TAANI is ignored posts.

for starters, i agree taani is ignored- except as reys love interest and at times as swayams Sis...those scenes r getting on my nerves nowadays but this post is not about it. Taani could been the D3 team s manager by now for eg instead of sharon.

that apart, what i want to ask is-
should taani have a Career?
is it compulsory for all girls to have a career? why?

taani is so happy being at home cooking and cleaning. why should she be forced by the society whcih now demands everyone to have a career outside home? all these years it was that the society said - girls dont need to work outside home and now isnt it the same society which s telling us girls need to work outside home?

matlab say taani says- im happy at home being a housewife( homemaker if u want to call it) taing care of the cooking and cleaning and all the kids etc., i dont want to be a fashion designer or a dance professionally or sing or anything.

is this wrong? will it make her weak character ?
any girl who choses to stay at home in todays world is thought to be ...old fashioned? dumb? stupid? or i dont now what...but isnt she ( taani or anyone) an empowered girl exercising her right to choose? her freedom of choice. and her choice is staying at home.

well...this is not to say that taani as a individual shud be ignored but just to say that she doesnt have to have a career to have an individuality. taani s passion has been shown as dance...so even if taani starts training in her dance again for herself , its an individual track is what i meant.

and in the broader sense- i honestly believe girls who go to work just because evryone else does are as much oppressed as those who were forced to stay within four walls decades ago.
btw, im working.😊

and also sorry for not commenting on so many nice posts.

ok i wasn't expecting such topic but still its interesting Prakruti(hope i don't misspelled ur name)
so as u said m completely agree with u, that a girl has right to decide what she want to do... but here yaar its a youth show, not any EK show where they are taking 5 or 10 years leap and showing Taarey married , kids n all stuff...
so ofcourse Taani being a young girl we want to see her POV, if not working at least studies.
what she want to do further...
forget abt society, even we girl's thinking has been changed very much...
we just don't want to make us, house wife stuff (well most of us)
now back to show if we see Taani want to be a homely girl
then whats left for her in show ?? romance with Rey, and make Tea/coffee for Swayam.thats it...
i don't know abt others but me being a big Taani fan, really don't want my fav character like this...
she is today's girl, not our grandmom ke time ki...
just my POV, m not offending any house wives here...plz don't take it personally

ok i wasn't expecting such topic but still its interesting Prakruti(hope i don't misspelled ur name) no my spellings right- thanks
so as u said m completely agree with u, that a girl has right to decide what she want to do... but here yaar its a youth show, not any EK show where they are taking 5 or 10 years leap and showing Taarey married , kids n all stuff... this i agree, no leaps for me too
so ofcourse Taani being a young girl we want to see her POV, if not working at least studies.
what she want to do further...
forget abt society, even we girl's thinking has been changed very much... influenced by society completely still
we just don't want to make us, house wife stuff (well most of us) i repeat influenced by society- its a blessing when we dont hve to face the bloody world outside
now back to show if we see Taani want to be a homely girl
then whats left for her in show ?? romance with Rey, and make Tea/coffee for Swayam.thats it...
i don't know abt others but me being a big Taani fan, really don't want my fav character like this...
she is today's girl, not our grandmom ke time ki...- but like i said individual track could mean she s shown to ve friends, as managing the team, dancing for herself or whatever the CVs are better at this i can be...as keeping ppl within team happy...as buffering the tension between ViHA or even swaraon but no..the swaron fans wont like it and we taani fans dont want all that...we want her to have a career which rey would help her with! such romantics! 😊 i wont mind that though
just my POV, m not offending any house wives here...plz don't take it personally

okay was not expecting this but i think its an interesting post and will lead to a good discussion 👍🏼

we are not saying that if taani chooses her passion in staying at home its wrong
we are asking that cvs at least show what her passion is
whatever taani decides to do we want to see it happening in the show we saw all the other characters choose and pick their careers
we didn't even get to see taani pick what she wanted to do
all we are saying is to give taani some screen space and to treat her like a lead and an individual
idk where u got the idea about society and such but i think i can say for most taarey fans the problem we had was that we didn't get to see taani decide anything at all about her future...and this is a youth show we could atleast get a few scenes about her deciding her future, taani is today's girl, and today's girl has a different thinking then just staying at home
also i dnt agree wit the fact that taani is happy with just cooking and cleaning b/c if that were the case then she wouldn't love being the GS of the college and doing things like getting events together
on top of that this is a youth show society is a different discussion, there are billions of problems with society but the true fact is society has rules and norms that continually change and regardless of what we think of it we generally adapt to that change, taani is a character in today's generation where getting a job is a norm, and they dnt have to show her getting a job b/c it is "normal" they can do it b/c she is just securing her future...
to be honest i wouldnt want taani to be shown as a housewife because i feel like that is something that is really different from what this youth based show is about and i dnt want to see my fav character only used for romance i want to see taani's aspirations explored
agree with meetu this isnt a show from our grandmother's time that is made to have a character stay at home, taani should be allowed to explore her options

hope u dnt take this in an offensive way just stating my pov and discussing wat i think not meant to offend house wives b/c i think they have difficult jobs taking care of everything in the house (really i have respect for house wives esp since my mom is one)

also wanted to add if this post was in response to the taani is being ignored post then i think u didn't understand wat we were trying to say and may have taken it in the wrong way 😕

wow what an interesting discussion this is coming to. Ok I need to come back with a detailed response because I know exactly where you are coming from in terms of society and as a girl but then again this is not really about us thinking Taani is totally ignored. We want her to be explored further as an individual.

Society today tells us a girl can go out and work independently just like the man.. but then again we have got those old fashioned norms of a girl being at home, cooking and looking after her husband.. Per se... They are both factors which occur which is true like you said..

Now in terms of Taani.. No, I don't think it would make her 'weak' to decide to be at home. But then again this is a youth fiction show and its important to highlight as a girl what aspirations we can find in our life and discover ourselves. Especially for the youth and us TODAY , as taani represents the girls of today.. So in that respect its important for us to know where Taani is also heading in her life and her career focus.

I love the idea you have that if Taani had an individual track for herself she could be the official manager of the team (makes sense) OR train as a Dancer for 'herself' -- Now the latter, if occured is very important as a Taani fan myself, that she does it for herself as then we get to see what this means to her. So yes, great idea's there...

Okay but I wanna ask a question... Does she really wanna be a housewife? I know she's interested in cooking and cleaning, but it has more to do with the starting storyline of her character. As Palki said that taani is gonna be exactly opposite from the previous girl, and believe me, every single trait of her character was decided by that. And as previous lead hated household things, Taani loved it.
Moreover after her character really began, she has been shown as a quite talented person...she's good in academics, her management skills are superb, and as we saw in the post face off party, she organized the whole thing herself. And even swayam told once that she is always pretty excited while organizing events. I guess she too has aspirations which hasn't been explored yet.
And honestly she has been my favorite character, and i don't think i would like to see her making coffee, food, playing cupid and romancing all the time...

Interesting topic and I like everyones points. I want her character to be explored further on that basis and hope we get it. I think Taani does have her own career choice but it hasn't been tapped into yet.

Ok. Well, I dont knw whether what u said is true, but I dont want it like that. For me, the concept of housewife is not acceptable. I believe everyone has a passion and they must follow it. And frankly, I think I will end up hating Taani if they showed she has no dreams but her love life. She is shown bold and different, she has the guts to propose a boy, she has her individuality and her own thoughts and she never had a dream before Rey. Now that is utterly absurd don't u think? Everyone has dreams and Taani is no exception. Its maybe just script problem. Why do they portray a youth show female lead with no ambitions- sir ke upar. I am sry, I dnt wanna sound rude, but frankly this thing is getting on my nerves. Just angry at creatives

11 amazing dancers and a girl without her own identity!. Dont you feel odd about it. I have nothing against housewives. A girl have the right to decide her future. Apologies if I hurt anybody. Prakruti my intention is not to hurt your feelings. I respect your views. I just want progress in taani's track.
