A popular face and name in the Indian film, television and theatre industry, Krutika Desai Khan is all set to enter COLORS popular show, Uttaran in a completely bold avatar.

Entering the show as Ekadish who plays Vishu's mother, Kruthika will be seen sporting a bald look for the show. She will be the first actresses on Indian television to go bald for a role following in the footsteps of other famous Bollywood actresses like Shabana Azmi, Lisa Ray, Nandita Das, Sarika and now recently Tanuja, who have shaved their hair off for roles.

Well recognized for her character in 'A mouthful of Sky, Kkusum, Buniyaad, Yeh Meri Life Hai, and Anu Ki Ho Gayi Wah Bhai Wah, Krutika is known to never shy away from doing bold roles.

A little nervous and a little excited, Kruthika got emotional at the actual moment when her hair was shaved but was also sporty and excited for this new beginning.

Talking about this experience, Kruthika said, "I feel good as well as a little embarrassed with my new look. It took a lot of courage to agree to this role and it took me a while to make up my mind to finally decide on taking up this role. When I was approached for the role, my daughter was more excited than me and she was the one who motivated me to take on this role".

Adding on a lighter note, Kruthika added, "Summer is around the corner. Luckily I won't have to worry about my hair and feeling hot.

Well, whatever be her reason, hats off to Kruthika for making a statement!

With most of our Indian daily soaps going in for a make-over, looks like it's the season of re-vamp and the latest show which is heading for a change is Film Farm's Uttaran aired on Colors.

The show will soon witness the introduction of a new family wherein the story will move to Allahabad after Meethi ( Tina Dutta) gets married to Akash aka Vishnu (Mrunal Jain). As reported by certain section of media, Krutika Desai will enter the show as Aakash's mother who will essay a negative role.

However, according to some reliable sources we hear that a new family will enter the show and actors like Girja Shankar and Hetal Yadav have been finalized to play the role of Akash's family members. We hear that the story will now focus on the new family which is politically very strong and will have grey characters. Girja Shankar who played the popular character of Drihtarashtra in BR Chopra's Mahabharat has been roped into play the role of the head of the family Agarth while, Hetal Yadav last seen in Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma will play the role of Krutika Desai's younger sister Pavitra who will bring a fun element to the show.

When contacted, Girja confirmed the news and said, "I am very happy to be a part of a show like Uttaran. It's a very interesting role and I am really looking forward to it.🤢🤢
