Actresses like Shabana Azmi, Lisa Ray, Nandita Das, Sarika and recently Tanuja, have gone bald, for their parts in films. Now, Krutika Desai is all set to do the same, for her character in the TV serial, Uttaran.

The actor will play Ekadish, mother to Aakash (Mrunal Jain) aka Vishnu.
Krutika is thrilled about the challenge. She will shave off her hair three days from now and is currently shooting a promo for the Colors' show.

Krutika says, "I am prepared but a bit nervous as well. I don't think anyone has done this on the small screen yet. It's a big step and currently we're working on the look."

Women are very possessive about their tresses. Ask Krutika how she feels about parting with her hair, and she laughs, "At least I wont have a bad hair day." It didn't take producer Pintoo Guha too much effort to convince Krutika to do this. He had even given her the option of going for prosthetics. But Krutika says, "I have been willing to experiment with my look. I didn't want to cheat the audience who would have immediately spotted the prosthetic."

THIS ARTICLE WAS FROM HINDUSTANTIMES.COM.

"I didn't want to cheat the audience who would have immediately spotted the prosthetic."-I think the waste of space CVS should read this quote carefully. They might learn something.
