Appreciation and praise for our effort are nice little extras. But, in the end, good cooking is about us, how we approach the undertaking, how we enjoy the process and feeling good that we created something wonderful. So it is not medieval to cook for our drear ones 😆 ( it took me so many years to understand this but my MIL was persistent and now I have budged and learning to cook for my babies who eat boiled eggs and steamed veges and rice hehhehehe
