How much of a suspense was Shyam?

I have started watching the show only end of August 2011, exactly from the day after the Teej when it was just revealed that Shyam WAS anjali's husband! Ofcourse needless to say, after that I watched the all the initial episodes a million times. But whenever I watched the earlier Shyam scenes, it was pretty obvious that he was Anjali's husband becos:

1. How every time he panicked when Khushi mentioned AR main office or ASR 's name

2. For Payal's birthday when Khushi called and asked him to stay back to celebrate the former's birthday as she was stuck in the office, and how immediately Anjali got a call from her husband that he won't be able to make it for the pooja that he promised he would earlier.

3.By the Guest House scene it was quite obvious, the way ASR sticks his ear and gets attentive at the mention of Shyam's name at GH (How I wish they closed this loop and ASR recalled hearing Shyam'sname at GH during or after the MU track!)

Not alot of people expect Shyam to Anjali husband that was unpredictable everyone was like poor Anjali.

i think there was an article at the start of the show mentioning shyam being anjali's husband which spoiled the suspense for many!

I can understand how shocking it would be to see this two timing guy to be the husband of a serene soul like Anjali. So it was quite unexpected, good to know that!

Expect for the fact there was an article that mention Shyam being Anjali husband that spoiled the suspense.

I didn't watch it back then but I don't think i would've been surprised. Shyam was already romantically linked to Khushi. Show was about Arnav and Khushi. How to get rid of Shyam? Make him the evil two timing husband of Anjali! Now the audience can root for the real couple without feeling sorry for the guy who's gonna get dumped. 🤔

I really wish they'd stop making villains out of characters who they don't want to pair up with the heroes/heroines.

but I was pretty sure from very begining that Shyam is Anjali's husband...coz CV was showing Anjali's importance in Arnav's life...& offcourse the tagline...

PS: But I thought about the worst...Don't thow chappals on me...I thought shyam will be succeed to marry Khushi..😕

I know right!! I was watching it too and thinking anyone could have realised it was Shyam!, They made it so obvious! 😆
