I was disappointed about Noor playing Darcy as well but to be honest he's probably one of the few decent things about the drama, going by the first episode.

I love the book as a kid, and then watched the Indian adaptation of this in the late 80s... It was called Trishna. Wasn't so bad but bride and prejudice sucked!

I think the best adaptations are the ones by BBC.

Darcy has to be tall...and full of pride!! Maybe, Noor can convince but Darcy has to be extra ordinarily handsome!!! I think I have to see it to believe it...in my head Noor seems a little off. Who's playing Bingley? I tou have read the novel and seen the 2005 movie adaptation so P&P is kind of a very personal thing 😳

Fahad Mustafa wouldn't have been bad either...now that one thinks of it. He has the perfect built :D and can act! :D

Ive only seen Noor in Humsafar and maat, he didnt impress me in either of them! His expressions suck!

I was dreading Noor as Darcy but him, and Aamina are probably the only good things about the drama. It's not even really pride and prejudice, they've only kept a few elements from the novel everything else is new. Really disappointing, Jane Austen's novels lend themselves really well to pakistani adaptations, they kind of fit with our culture, but here they've changed everything. Instead of keeping to a story about five sisters, all of starkly varying personalities, and their mother who is desperate to marry them off. Two rich upper class friends one sweet, one stuck up, who take a fancy to the elder girls. And an intellectual, and loving relationship between the second daughter and father. With some social commentary thrown in. They've turned it into a weird modern, gothic, romance. They've given a western feel as well which was totally unnecessary for this novel. An opportunity wasted.

It's like an Austen-Bronte-Richard Curtis hybrid. Only lacking in quality.
