res, need to catch up on the last few chapters
EDIT
And I finally read them. Fabulous updates. The way you are developing the layered personality that Arnav is along with the reasons behind each one of them is something I admire. When one commits a mistake they apologise, something that comes naturally to most; while this man expresses it through a gift, through his actions and expects one to forgive and move on. Reason he is a man of few words, a man who finds it difficult to express his sentiments through words, a man who strongly believes 'to express is one's weakness'. Hence he gifted a diamond set by ordering his manager to get the most expensive one for Khushi. The importance given to the price tag is more than to the gesture.
He is afraid of rejection, hence he places his demand rather than a request giving no room for the former. This fear has materialised twice; once when Khushi rejected the apology telling he needs to earn it and the other her refusal against his wish of taking her out for breakfast. The only one who has the guts to refuse him in current times.
He is attracted to her, far more then Khushi who doesn't feel anything more than loath towards him. His mental battle between his ego, his belief of regarding middle class people, a wee-bit of guilt lurking somewhere for having treated her thus, confusion about her words while others accept his gifts and the resolve not to stoop as low as earning forgiveness were painted wonderfully in that scene by the beach.
NK's entry is refreshing and welcome. Necessary to some extent to lighten up Khushi's mood amidst her woes.
We finally got to know a part of the sacrifice made by Khushi the events leading to the marriage. The reason I concentrated about Arnav in this comment is because we are getting to know his perspectives when all this while we have been wondering about this man and his conduct.
