Minuu, you picked out a vital point...
The boy who was born in a majestic household will finally turn 2 ashes metaphorically with no 1 beside him always looking for that particular thing that he was always devoid of,a feeling that he himself can't explain as he never experienced it nor think that it exist which made him a cold man which is love and affection. He functions like he is told, by a father who rules the house with an iron rod. But only a love from a good woman, can change him or even bring some positivity.

Yes, Jes, I agree with your comment totally.
exatly they don't have the guts to bring such thing on Indian Tv soaps.they r just so satisfied with their old formulas & whatsits 🥱 .what they r showing is so predticatble. We are an educated generation, and I suppose we want something educational and not mere 'brain dead' stuff.Educational meaning, we are sharing ideas of how and why a person's mind can get complicated.

It's pretty obvious that he was taught from a very early age to fear his father and even though Samar is educated RKT never gave Samar the chance to voice his opinions at all thus leading to his low self-esteem and the need to constantly prove to RKT he is a good son. This also leads him make mistakes, and once again become the reason for his father's distrust and anger. Shamlidevi Tyagi on the other hand is such an evil person anyway... so what the son normally should get from his mother ST never received (love affection etc) maybe causing the hatred that he bottles up inside of himself and then not knowing what love is. He is a product of a dysfunctional family
...mysterious allure that is begging us to try and explore him...
It looks as if he feels he's lost his sister, pushed her so far back, that she'd never come back to calling him bhaiyaa anymore... he knows something is missing but he can't pinpoint that in their relationship!"]
I agree! I want to also add that suggesting Samar having some sort of mental problem which you mentioned somewhere in your lovely essay, is an idea I would endorse for too as that seems feasible in conjunction with his disintegrated kind of personality: it appears he is flitting between his emptiness in his relationships and his human need for it...what i mean by that is sometimes through his reactions to events and the characters around him, we see him become quite involved and invested in them to the point of being consumed by hurt, bitterness and passion and so on. Yet at other times it seems like he can't care less about anything, is unaffected- 'heartless' as you and someone you quoted rightly put. Maybe his drinking habit will catch on in this respect; it could explain an attempt to drown out his misdeeds, and shrug off things, become detached and simply forget his existence and everything in it.
Agreed. It is noticeable that something between them is not right. Despite Sayali possessing the luxury of an elder brother (and what a brother!) she cannot relate to him as one.
Well said. He has been a delightful subject for ongoing musings in our many posts.
'Which is why I love the ST fans...' Right back at you!

Alka, I thought this line of yours was very funny. It had me choking with laughter🤣
Samar has an aura around him, a mist... there is something behind the fog, and no one wants to explore that!Your style of writing has always a pinch of humour in them!

Alka This is the most painful part. His life is coming 2 a complete ruin with the punishment of his misdeeds which most of them he did 4 his father 2 prove himself and by the end of the show he will be headed 2 the gallows or subjected 2 life imprisonment. What sadens me is that as a young man he never had the basic necessity of a woman's love nor a chance 2 view things outside his upbringing which true love could have encouraged him 2 do it.
