MS Subbulaxmi was a very acclaimed Carnatic singer. This could be interesting if made right.

Don't think I've heard MS Subbulaxmi songs but can't wait to see Vidya in it :)

have high hopes for PC's Mary Kom, hopefully she will yet again give an outstanding performance in it and also waiting for Ranbir's Kishore Kumar biopic!

On Topic: Vidya will looks great as south beauty, she does have looks nd I know she can play this role effortlesly :)

ruky786..Are you sure you havent heard MS singing? It is divine. 90% of South India wakes up to her suprabatham every morning.

She had a very bold,interesting, successful yet very traditional life. I had met her once and she was the epitome of grace and beauty. It will be very very interesting to see Vidya play her. I cannot imagine anyone else do it anyways. Vidya has the traditional Tambram face. Incidentally MS amma also acted in a few movies - Meera being the top one at that.

Wonder who will play her husband - the strong and brilliant Sadasivam mama. Kamal hassan would be par excellence..but I know it wont happen. A tamil actor Prasanna would do well...or even Abhay Deol. I so hope this fructifies.

Can you share a bit? :) I only know that she was a brilliant singer, and one of the most acclaimed singers ever from India.
