We can't even begin to imagine the emotional turmoil a women like Anandi goes through, since most of us are from big cities, have lead a free and a modern life, and given freedon by our family to make our own decisions, so we have confidence in ourselves, but put yourself in Anandi's shoes and you will understand why the fear and insecurities, even with such an understanding husband like Shiv, because it is not about Shiv, and its certainly not because she is still pining away for Jagiya, it is really about her own lack of self esteem which makes her scared and hesitant, which is very normal, especially for a women whose ex husband continuously told her that she she is not desirable enough, that she is not educated or sophisticated enough, who thought that she wasn't worthy of him, so he goes ahead and cheats on her with another women. Now had its been one of us, we would have given him a piece of our mind and moved on, not caring about his crap, but Anandi is not a girl from the city, she is from a village and that too child bride, who was taught from childhood to treat her hubby like some God ! Thankfully her in laws helped her through the worse times, but the emotional scars cannot be wiped away, they take a long time, and Shiv has just started to apply that emotional balm to those scars, so with time she will be able to give in to Shiv, mind , body ad soul.
