The day had arrived with an absolute vengeance.Standing in the gallery, I watched the way the wind was tossing the rain against the glass in fiercely blustering squalls while within me a different kind of storm was raging. I made a heroic pose & hysterically forecasted , "This world wants me. I shall to devote my life serving mankind."

"Your drama fever didn't pull out yet?" , my F-A-T-H-E-R asked me this kind question before inquiring about my well being.

"I never participated in dramas." , I tried to be decent enough , at least I tried.

"So this was?" , he elevated his sardonic grey eyebrows .

"A---mo---no--logue".

"Abhorrent!" , apparently Mr. Khanna was fuming hearing some 'heavy' words from his prodigal daughter , he continued , "A woman is meant to serve her family , not others. Now that you are done with studies , I expect you to marry , serve your new family ."

I clenched my fist in anger , I was engulfed in repugnance .

"Your meeting your groom tonight. I expect you to receive him kindly."

And he left without letting me respond.

I entered the cafe impassively . As I stepped in the waitress took me to the designated table and there he was , 'My would be H-U-S-B-A-N-D'. He was very good looking , an unarguable fact but he didn't get up to receive me. Minus points.

I sat down without looking at him with my head down .

"Hi Aarti" , he said mildly.

"Hello Yash."

"So we are here to approve each other."

"Or disapprove" , I said sarcastically with a fake smile.

"We cannot disapprove each other. Even if we want to." , he forecasted in displeasure.

"This doesn't make sense! How can we live with someone we completely abhor?"

"There is no room for abhorrence especially when are families are dependent on each other."

His words were making me angry but I was too confused to reply anything. He continued , "See. Your father had a great loss in business , after our marriage he'll be 30% partner in our business."

I swamped in disgust , the truth behind this marriage pierced my heart. , "Am I a commodity that Im being bartered?" , I said in a choking voice trying very hard to control me tears. I continued , "How can you marry someone like that?"

"Just like you Im too being forced. Im 28 , unmarried. Reason - my horoscope. Only your horoscope matched mine perfectly & we are told that you'll be very lucky for us." , he forecasted with a straight face.

I was too repelled to reply anything. I just left without looking at him.

"Why did you leave me mummy?" , I whispered .

Meanwhile bebe entered the gallery and asked , "Counting stars already? You just met Yash once."

I didn't feel like reply anything and kept gazing the mumma star , "Please mumma , if you're listening..I don't want to get married before falling in love. Please mumma."
