~Chapter One~

"Errr--- Khushi, would you please be my wife?" "Uhhmmm--- for 1hour?"

He took in his breath and uttered at one go:

"Khushi, will you please be my wife for 1hour?"

huh?😆

Khushi's breath hitched and she stared at him blankly not knowing what to say-- in fact the words got stuck in her throat-- Now is he mad? Marriage? Marriage for One hour? What the! Now it's him who needs to visit the Psychiatrist! But did I hear it well now? Did he really tell the "one hour"-thing or am I daydreaming--as always-- What the hell is happening! Urghh! I can't figure out anything!

Lolzzz🤣

"S---orry? ONE HOUR? Excuse me?" Khushi said while sniffling.

"Yeah!" he replied back "Will you be my wife for ONE HOUR?"

Oh, this time she heard it loud and clear. He wants ME to marry HIM and that too for ONE HOUR? Scratch that. Why does he want me to do so?
Arnav saw Khushi in deep reflection and the only thing that came out of his mouth after seeing her confused and funny expression-- which he found so-- was a flow of giggles which eventually turned into a roar of laughter!

"Khushii!!! You really thought that I was... Oh god! You are unbelievable! I was joking damn it! You had to see your face! It was worth the trouble! You are damn funny Khushi! Come on get back to work now! Bring me the Mehta file with its X-Ray and come back of your trance!" He said casually moving towards his cabin.

"Get me that file quick Miss Gupta if you don't want me to marry you for one hour-- one damn hour-- Oh that's funny!"
And he left a totally bewildered Khushi there still pondering on what was actually happening there, after-all?

Arnav rested his head in his palms while occasionally ruffling his hair to get away from this awkward feeling.
If only you could remember something Khushi... If only... Why is it that you don't remember anything? Why Khushi? You are MY Khushi; better get that! but why don't you remember me? and-- and most importantly Navshi? You don't remember her... Why Khushi? Why? Why is all this happening to me god.. Why? WHY DAMMIT? First of all you snatched away my Khushi from me and now when she is back she doesn't even know me? NOT EVEN NAVSHI? Why god? Why? 9 years Khushi-- 9 long years without you; life was so nice yet painful; and now life is so painful yet nice.. Only if you were with me now.. Only if...

He lay back wearily on his seat; switched off all the lights and there in the murky darkness, he could see nothing but felt the pull of that year draw him backward in time. He could have forced the images away, but as he stared at the ceiling he let them take over him completely; he always did so.

~Flashback~

New Dehli,

"It's simple!" Nk said. "First you meet a nice girl, share you likes and dislikes; see if you are compatible; date each other for a nice period of time and BOOM! See if you both are like "I love you and cannot be without you" Romeo and Juliet and finally get married!"

He looked up at Arnav who stuffed all his clothes crazily into the black, dusty suitcase and mumbling some words of consolation to himself. "Are you following me on that?"

"Yes, I am Nk!" He sighed as he ran the zip around the suitcase and lifted it off the bed, though he was still lost in his own world. "No-one understands Niks; not even you!"

"Arnav, you are doing it the way around! You have met her for barely 1 hour and you-- you are going to marry her?"

"Not one hour Nk; Precisely one whole evening" he paused and added "I AM going to marry her FOR LIFE."

"No--- No--- Arnav! You hardly know her!"

"I know what I am supposed to and that is enough for me!"

"Ok; How old is she? What is her favourite colour? What her favorite dish? What is her surname? What is her mom's name? What is her favorite show? Does she even like shows on TV? What does she like to do to spend her time? Does she cook? What is her favorite restaurant? What types of clothes does she like to wear? Do you know Arnav? Do you?"

He nodded in frustration. He couldn't figure out anything apart from "Do you know her favorite this--- her favorite that---" He arched back and pulled out the other suitcase. She must be around 26; but she looks much younger. Maybe she is about 24; yeah she must be in the age group 24-26 not more than that. He nodded in agreement. She was an orphan, and had only her aunt, at least that's what I know. She must be liking the pink or yellow maybe. No! Scratch that! Purple I think; no--- Orange! I don't know! Whatever! She must be liking bright colours; the colourful and chirpy behavior that she has! About her favorites, I need to find out and by the way they'll not help me in any way! I know what I need to!

"Khushi-- Her name was Khushi; Khushi Kumari Gupta, pronouncing it made him feel a sort of happiness.-- She is about 24, She likes bright colours--I hope so-- and she has only her aunt with her, her mom and dad are no more." Arnav finally said with a conquering tone.

"Are you ready to go for it? Will you really marry her? Don't you think it's a hasty decision?"

"I am absolutely sure of it and don't worry, I"ll be fine--We'll be fine--"

Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada, sounds right isn't it? He'd met her in a painting exhibition and he could say that he had got love at first sight!

~End of Flash Back~

"Papa! Papa!"

Arnav looked up to find the reason of his breath, his life, his happiness, his daughter, Navshi.

Chapter One over! :-D Took much effort in writing it!😳 It will be a very mysterious type of SS; only 10-12 parts and also, "Don't judge the book by its cover!😆😳" You see, the prologue had nothing to do with the story!😳
