ok then i'm sorry about it if that spoiled your mood..but i mentioned this point as i did not get to see the complete story with a proper ending..and the ending part of the story is a crucial part of the story too i guess..so that was unexpected for me..

1.say sory to payal.
2.involve in a plan wit khushi to unite payash
3.den even convince mami 4 payash.
4.towel dance was totaly unexpected.

Coming to the post, there are many unexpected scenes and that was the reason i loved the show to the core

Well most of them are already mentioned but i will mention the ones i liked

When Arnav breaks Khushi's dori in the initial episodes when he mistakes her for being sent by a rival
When he drops her from the first floor. That was totally unexpected. He was so ruthless and cold then
The way khushi gets back at Arnav after the guesthouse episode. She was really a sherni in that scene. Hatsoff to sanaya. She was amazing in that scene
The teez scene. He was so caring in that scene and it was unexpected especially after the way the parted in the earlier episodes
The scene in which Arnav humiliates Khushi saying that she and her fiance cannot afford the lehenga and to take it as a tip. I expected him to be rude but did not expect the tip wala comment. He was totally mesmerized by her beauty that he bent to touch her. He got angry that she did not allow him and come up with such rude comments. Beautiful portrayal of subtle emotions by barun in that scene.
The gracious way in which Lavanya walked out of Arnav's life instead of becoming a vamp that usually happens in most shows. I loved that scene so much especially the one in which she asks Khushi to take care of ASR. That was sweet. She even subtly hinted Khushi about Arnav's love for her
The slap. Where Khushi unknowingly slaps him. That was totally unexpected at least for me. Both barun and sanaya were awesome in this scene
The first kiss. He neither proposed nor was clear about her feelings but he kissed her. Such confidence 😆
When he gifts her with bangles. I mean the great Arnav singh raizada gifting a choti aukaat ki ladki😉
The swami track. I expected something serious after the fight they had
When he blamed Khushi for anjali's plight. ( when anjali tried to commit suicide). I was very angry with Arnav then.
The farmhouse wala consummation.
When Arnav forgave Garima so easily. I did not expect him to be angry with khushi but i thought he will not forgive Garima easily.

I guess i made a long post. I got carried away😉

Besides the abrupt show ending for me the most unexpected and stunning were the graphics 21st sep2012 that Arnav did for Khushi just to make her feel good when she would miss her parents. I guess it was as stunning,showing ASR's care and it went through to heart for Khushi too that's y she went beyond her limitations that day right a night before her marriage.
