Due to sudden light I could not see the face at first but then someone came forward and sat on the bed.. I looked at my left side.. I did not know when rano aunty left the room.. the face was clear in front of eyes now.. she was Geet.. I had seen her before too but today she was looking different.. I didn't know why. Those people who call me angel I wanted to tell them that u have not seen the angel yet.. an angel is sitting in front of me now.. she is the angel.. her hazelnut colored eyes and dark brown her whose soft curls was touching her face and a freshness on face was making her look different from everyone. I was still feeling that my room was still filled with brightness.

Then I heard her sweet voice. 'Ainie, why are you not coming with us?' I didn't say anything. She took my hand in hers and pressed my palm, I looked at my hand... I could not express what I was feeling at that time.

'Come with us ainie, u can't live alone naa.. and here you will feel more sad and lonely.'she spoke.

'chalo, go and get ready, look at yourself , in this way you can't go anywhere' Go and take a shower till then I will pack your bag.'

'I can't come Geet' this is my mama and daddy's home. I can't leave it like this.'

'hmm, so you don't want to leave because its ur parent's home. But think for once, If your mama and daddy would be here, they will surely not wanted to see you in this way, all alone and sad.' She paused for a moment and then continued, 'I know Ainie you don't want to leave you home as you spent many days here with your parents, there are many memories of yours, but sometimes we have to do what we don't feel to do'

I was like in a trance and just nodded and without saying anything I went for shower.

When I came out, Geet was packing my clothes in a bag. She looked at me and came forward. 'youcried in the shower right?' 'err.. no, it was some soap which entered my eyes'

'Lie' Ainie you face is telling me that you are lying' 'now tell me why u cried'

I couldn't hold my tears further and some tears rolled down my cheeks, between sobs I said,'Geet, why mama and daddy left me, was I not a good daughter? Were they not happy with me? Tell me na, why they left me' they knew this that I can't move an inch without their support, they were my only family'

'Ainie, its God who decide that who will live in this world for how much time. I know it is difficult to lose beloved but we have to live and we will live for the time which God have decided so why should we live a sad and gloomy life.' 'Isn't it?'

I just nodded.. 'Ok, now get ready we are waiting for you downstairs' saying this she left the room.. and I moved towards the mirror.

Downstairs Mohinder uncle and Rano aunty along with Geet were waiting for me and when I came down Aunty smiled at me. I weakly smiled and then they took me to their home. Their home was only 3 houses far away from ours. I had already visited their home so it was not new for me.

There, All family members were waiting for us in the lounge. Mohinder uncle had only one son and two daughters, Geet and Rajji. Brij veerji had a son, Rohan. He was a year old cutie pie with cute dimples. 'Just like his Geet bua' I thought.

'Geet. Rajji. Take Ainie to your room' Rano aunty spoke.

I silenty followed them to the room. 'Ainie, how is the room looking?' 'Geet, it is not new for me then why are u asking me this?

'I know it is not new for you but from Today onwards it is going to be yours too, that's why asking' she smiled. 'Yes Ainie di we all three will share the room' Raji excitedly spoke.

'Ainie, do you like the beds? Papa have already ordered for a bed just like these and when it will come we all three together will arrange the room' I did not know what exactly to say and I guess Geet also understood my situation so she just started asking me general questions about school and friends and in one or two word I replied her. Geet was in 10^thstandard and about two years older than me and raji was in 6^thstandard, same two years younger then me. Raji was a lot and lot talkative and she just keep on talking and talking till Pammi Bhabhi came to call us for lunch and we all three went downstairs.

After lunch Mohinder uncle called me to come near him. He asked me to sit on the sofa, when I sat he began to speak, 'Ainie beta, I know it is not right to talk about this at this moment when its only a day u lost your family but still I am telling you about this that according to your dad's will, he wanted you to stay with us till you are adult, he wanted me to be your guardian and I am really happy that my best friend wanted me to take care of his daughter.' He paused for a moment, 'And regarding your home I have decided to give it at rent and all the money can be saved for your future.'

'You can do anything you want uncle'

He smiled at my reply and then I left the lounge and came in the room

It had been a week since I was here and in these days everyone tried ther best to cheer me up.. Everyone was really caring and it worked a lot on me.. I was slowly adjusting in this family'The new bed came and we all three together arranged the room. The whole week I spent while playing with rohan.. he was so adorable.. One night, after dinner, Mohinder uncle asked me about school.. I had totally forgotten about them, he wanted me to re join the school as I was not attending classes since about a week... I kept thinking about it .. 'I want to leave that school.' I told uncle. 'I want to join the same school in which Geet and Rajji are studying'

Everyone was shocked at this.'But why?' 'Any specific reason?'

I did not say anything.. Actually the reason behind this was the conversation I had with rajji that evening. She told me that many days before, brij veer ji met with an accident and he was not able to go to work for many days, as a result he lost his job and now Mohinder uncle is supporting the whole family alone.

I was studying in the city's best and renowned school and it was very expensive. I was studying there because daddy was able to afford it and now I can't be a burden on anyone so I was saying that I want to leave that school.. 'that is school is really far away and daddy was also thinking that he will make me leave that school that is why I am saying this'after giving some foolish reasons Mohinder uncle agreed that he will admit me into the same school in which Geet and Rajji are studying.. I was quite happy with this..

The next day Mohinder uncle went to my school and cancelled my admission there and on the same day I went him to Geet and Rajji's school. It was also a good school of this area and after passing an admission test I got an admission there.

At home everyone helped me with the arrangements of the first day at school. I was really nervous on the first day. Geet dropped me in front of my new class and went to hers.

I nervously walked in the class. Everyone kept looking at me and that was making me more nervous and then I saw a girl who was previously studying in my school. I was quite happy to see her though I very less interacted with her in previous school but it made me better to see her. Her name was Niya and she too recognized me and waved at me. 'You here Ainie.?' I smiled and asked her, 'can I sit here Niya?' 'Yeah sure' I placed my bad and sat there. A girl that was probably her friend asked her about me. 'Who is she Niya?' she replied,'She is Ainie. She was my class fellow at my last school.' 'Oh. Probably she liked you very much that she followed you here too.' And I was like 'WHAT???' I disliked that girl from the next moment.

Soon teacher came in the class and she introduced me with everyone. 'Students, she is your new class fellow Ainie Khanna. Ainie, if you need any help you can ask your class fellows or come to me. Ok? And from the next week we are having monthly tests and u have to attend them, I know it will be difficult for you but that is the rule although I and all your subject teachers will help you in covering that chapters. Whenever you get some free time come to us or take help from your class fellows.' I nodded and came back to the seat.. After that class a girl with friendly smile came to me, 'Hii Ainie I am Reena.' 'Hi, nice to meet you.' come to my seat Ainie, She took me to her place. Thank God I got rid of that Ajeeb si girl.

Reena's friend soon joined us. Her name was Priya. They both were quite friendly and talkative too. They both told me about the chapters they have covered and helped me a lot and also told me more about the school and class teachers etc. the best thing about them was that they were really talkative and I didn't have to talk much. I didn't notice that time passed so soon and it was break time. All students started leaving the class and I too came out with Reena and Priya. 'Where is class XB?' I asked. 'Come on we will show you' priya replied. They took me to Geet's class. Outside the class Reena told me that they will be waiting for me in the cafe, I smiled at them and they left.

I peeped in the class and looked for Geet. She was talking with someone. She noticed me and came out. 'So how is your first day going? And then I started telling her about each and every detail. I told her about that girl, about Priya and Reena, about teacher, about everything. I was nowhere going to stop. 'Relax Ainie.' She laughed. 'If you will tell me about everything right now what you will talk about, at home?'

'I will tell you about the next classes.' She laughed at my reply. And then Geet's friend came out of the class. She was Meera. Geet introduced me with her. When they both started talking I felt that I should go. 'Geet see you later, Bye Meera!' And I went towards the cafe to join Reena and Priya ...
