He had beared his cross with a lot of pain yesterday. Cross of choosing the wrong person, Cross of letting her hurt him, cross of letting so many others hurt him, Cross of being weak, He was feeling weak even today.His wounds were scraped raw once again. Once again someone whom hehad wanted in all his might was going to ditch him. He past again started to haunt him.

He remembered his dad's words when he got the admission results of AIIMS Pre meds. He was in the 1^st 30 students who cleared in general category in whole India. He was sure that atleast today his dad would be proud of him. Mr. Kundra the then DIG read the call letter when Rishabh gave it to him and said.

MK:- good you proved it to your self that you could do it. I had no second thoughts about you getting through the pre meds. Rishabh but this is futile. Your dreams are lofty. There is no scope of research in Indian context.

RK:- Scopes are created papa……we cannot keep looking for gaps to fill in …we need to carve our own altar dad. I don't want to be a filler in my life I want to be the one creates the altar.

MK:- Rishabh all those literay books have gotten into your head. Life is nothing without power. Aim for civil services and you will get the power to create that altar Not only the altar but you will be worshipped on that altar if you would be honest to your people.

RK :- what is a greater power than the power to heal.

MK:- A doctor can do nothing Rishabh nothing….you Know that medicine is but a hoax….. Had it have power, it would have been able to cure your little brother of deadly brain cancer.

RK:- Papa you know that I want to find a cure to it. I want to do research on cancer. I understand your pain, but you know medicine is advancing every day…..

Mk just threw away his call letter and said.

MK:- OH you know nothing about pain. You Know nothing about misery . You have led a life with the silver spoon in your mouth.

His voice mellowed.

I always wanted you to be my son who would address me as sir on field. Who would accompany me and surpass me in my endeavours but…..

RK:- I will still surpass you papa you will always be proud of me.

MK:- Surpassing me needs strength and courage to face and uproot the real cancer of criminals from the society. Go ahead do what you want. You were always a weak person. Go ahead and find your identity in that hoax of a white coat. Go ahead and get yourself involved in researches that are sooo fake….they hardly ever get concrete results. You are are a coward.

MK:- left a Hurt Rishabh that day on the dinner table. He had looked at his mom for support but she just lowered her eyes as always and got up from the table.

She just patted his shoulders and left to see what her husband needed. RK did not see his father the entire week, but when he was about to leave Mumbai for Delhi he came to see his papa. He was in his study.

RK:- I am leaving for Delhi tonight.

Mr Kundra looked at him and said

"I have added money to your account…

RK cut in between ..

" No need sir, Had you ever cared to look into that account you would have known that I never withdraw money from that account SIR . I know how to fend for my self and be rest assured I never resort to wrong means. I hope someday you will be proud of me."

MK was shocked, he knew he had crossed the boundaries that day but he never knew that Rishabh had long back severed himself from him.

MK :- Rishabh I …..

RK:- Good bye SIR…

When RK came back to Mumbai after being deceived by Dips he came back with a mission to achieve power and wealth both and he knew the kind of power an actor held over people and their money was phenomenal. The best part he did not have to resort to dishonest means to get any of those. He had always loved literature and art and was a very talented sculptor himself. He Took some acting classes with Anupam kher And enetered the world of cinema. He did have to struggle a lot but he made it in a couple of years. He was now a guarantee of success. He in return got all that he came for, He now had immense amount of wealth and power over people. They loved him. He also loved cinema because it gave him all that was missing even if only on screen yet it did. He severed himself from himself and thus bit by bit and piece by peice a new RK emerged from Rishabh. At times he still showed those old traits but he was closed out now. No one was allowed to enter that stone edifice that RK was now.

In long long times It was Madhubala who had caused a hole in that edifice. Since she had come in his life the faade was crumbling. Of and on One could see the softer and the more genuine side of RK, but every time Rishabh raised his head RK crushed it with more vengeance. He hated Madhubala to cause such insurgency from Rishabh.

RK looked up:- don't call me Rishabh ….. Is she alright..

Aniket looked at him with affection. :- she is better but not alright. The entire family is around her. She called for you.

Something stirred in his heart , she called for me not anyone else but me.

He smiled ruefully she must be wanting to settle the scores. He entired her room. He wanted to speak with her alone. Aniket came to there rescue. Actually too many people at the same time will cause more anxiety to her. I would rather we see her one at a time.

Every one had to leave but Rishabh.

Madhu:- such is the force of a husband. Her voice was feeble.

RK searched her face intently to see the extent of damage this spell might have caused. He noticed it did nothing to dampen her spirits. She was as bright as sun itself. He felt she possibly was light personified. He smiled

RK:- I hope you get well soon Biwi so that you may experience more of that force.

Madhu squinted her eyes and said

" I will sleep on the couch from now on, it is huge anyways, It will be fine for me.

RK acted as if he was punched in his gut.

RK:- Kabhi socha nahi tha ki yeh din bhi dekhna parega, Anything else BIWI

Madhu :- moved her head in denial.

RK Put his hand in his pockets. Took out a long Tanishq box from it and made her wear the slender, and beautiful raga watch on her hand. It was right on time.

RK:-I am granting this first and the last wish to you. This is your wedding gift. This is raga and a watch.

Promise me you will never cave in like that ever again. No matter who is infront of you. She had a face as devine as it could be, but he had a look as pure as it could be.

Madhu nodded her head. She turned her head to the other side and spoke to her self.

"to which movie does this dialogue belong cant remember it. I have seen all his movies so many times.

RK:- You said something

Madhu:- yes do you always live in that world of celluloid. Please go I have had a looong long day and I need to sleep.

RK:- BIWI …………….did you take your insulin yesterday???

Madhu:- Don't want to remember anything about yesterday.

RK lifted her mangalsutra with his index finger and said

"this is real and it will not let you forget yesterday. I will also try my best not to let you forget yesterday ever." He tried to say this with as much ice as he could gather from within, but he knew that the glaciers were melting. He could foresee the emerging floods. He knew he was bound to be toppled and flown away in that. He was yet hell bent to hold on to the wreck he was and to hold on for as long as he could.

Madhu had turned her head so as to not look at him. He could see the mark on her neck. It was raw. He touched it with his finger tips. She did not budge, he thought had he gone that far yesterday,that what ever little they had between them was over, he silently prayed his thought to be wrong. He closed his eyes shut as tight as he could. He made a promise to himself he will never come close to her again for that was the only way to maintain his sanity.

RK:- I am leaving today evening for USA for the shoot.

Madhu:- But you said you will go after a week

She turned to look at him intently. RK looked into her eyes to find relief for his not being around her. He did not see that he sighed in relief.

Madhu:- you want to run away from me ?? You are scared of me… she smiled wickedly.

RK laughed hysterically and said

" let me refresh your memory BIWI, I forced you to marry me and your entire family and your dear sir were unable to protect you from a Devil like me. I brought you closer to my self. You fainted out of fear yesterday night and you think I am running away from you."

One nudge and all that iron of a resolution went flying off the window.

Madhu gestured him to come closer to her, he looked at her as if she had lost her mind. He still bent his head closer to her she whispered in the huskiest voice ever.

" I know your secret"

He whispered back

" really!! please tell me what devine revelation you have got about me while you were passed out."

She whispered again

" Nope I learnt it just now that you are three years grumpy old troll, and I can ruffle your feathers easily. ….She giggled. RK looked at her heaving chest and could hear her heartbeats clearly. He looked up at the monitor, it showed her steady and normal pulse rate. He was convinced that for now the clouds were gone and she was back, but something was still nagging him. He was still too close to her for his own good when Aniket came in

Aniket:- Rishabh FYI bhabhi is still under our observation not yours,

He was giving him a wicked grin. RK ignored him. Madhu noticed that he was the first other than RK's mom who addressed him as Rishabh. He jerked himself away from her.

Madhu:- eeks

RK felt a strong tug at his neck and he could not rise up. At that moment everyone else entered. RK looked down and saw the chain that was given by SM yesterday was entangled in Madhu's Mangal sutra. She was holding onto the mangalsutra as if to prevent it from breaking. RK looked at SM who was looking intently at them.

RK pulled Madhu's hand away from it as it was the same hand that was having all the drips poked into it. He did not want to strain it further. He disentangled the chains and left the room but stopped by at the door to say,

"Get well soon Biwi you have your visa appointment in the end of this week. You need to travel within 4 days time. It is a long journey. I need to talk to you Aniket"

He did not wait to listen to any one's protests, neither her's nor anyone else's.

Madhu screamed:- I am not coming.

and heard him say

" Keep dreaming" and his hysterical laughter spread in the corridors.

Aniket went behind Rishabh.

Aniket:- I know what you are thinking. We are still running the tests.

RK: stared back into his eyes and said

" What do you expect in those results?? And address her as Madhu , don't be bittuji.."
