When Asad hugged Ayaan, his eyes - full of tears and sentiment had rested on Zoe whom he could see across the glass. Ayaan was close to his heart, in his arms, but his eyes and his sentiment wanted to just take a look at his Miss.Hoity Toity. To decipher who she really is. To thank her at the back of his head for allowing him to see his baby brother once again.
When Rashid proved himself to be spineless, when Maamujaan, Razia accused and abused Asad, he could not defend himself because he could not take Zoe's name. All that anger , that humiliation and pent up fury , especially against Rashid, got directed towards Zoe and all that sentiment and gratitude once again stepped back to show the angst, the anger , the frustration that Asad has against Rashid and life.
When Asad came back home, in that red hot danger mood, Zoe stood in the line of fire. All that composure and self control that Asad had shown to Maamujaan and Rashid's nikamma khaandaam gave way to a flood of fury that came crashing on Zoe. If you think about it, Asad wasn't even talking sense while thrashing and bashing Zoe. They were old wounds ripped open - not a single word about Ayaan , but about his failure father and his dark life. Asad hurt Zoe because he was hurt and he wanted to cause hurt. The punching bag was inside and Zoe was available upon entry into the house.
What Asad wanted to do to Rashid, Maamujaan, Razia, he did to Zoe and how. That soft sentiment that Asad had felt for Zoe in those fleeting seconds was ruined by the villains.
Is it good? Is it bad? Maybe a bit of both. Good, because finally, Asad has someone he can show his real side to. A person in front of whom he can scream, rage, rant and just let it out. A person in front of whom he no longer needs to pretend that all is fine and am perfect. Good, because Zoe tried to connect to him even though in those moments she was scared of him. Good, because Zoe in a twisted way, confessed that she cannot see her Jahanpanah all that dukhi.
Bad, because Asad is so frozen in his own sadness that he couldn't see that Zoe was crying in front of him, he couldn't see that the girl he was bashing is haunted by an unknown pain that runs as deep as his. Bad , because unknowingly he closed her doors to her past.
In the last scene today. what gets to you is that how desperately Asad needs to be released from his pain and his angst. So much emotional anger that he could have literally spanked Zoe around like a frying pan , but he restrained himself and just seethed - "Main aapki jaan le loonga." Zoe's innocent hope that maybe she did manage to make Asad happy. Her fumbling tries to explain to Asad that she just cannot see him sad. Her tears at Asad's situation and her failed attempts to explain to him that she too is fatherless, her shock at Asad tearing off that important address.All emotional water seemed to be breaking down today.
In the precap, Zoe seems to have zipped up herself again after Asad's maar-kutaai of today. He literally beat the living daylights out of her.Acchhai karne chali thi lekin Rashid Miyaa ke chakkar mein Asad ne hamaari ladki dho daali.
Aur Asad to bas Asad hai. Tie him to a missile and yet he will say Zoe ek vamp hai. So, what if i give her those puppy looks once in a while?
All in all, AsYa are very difficult as future lovers and soulmates. Pain and ego of both are superlative.
Oh and oh. As for the title of the post. Asad didn't just threaten Zoe. Kaun jaanta hai ki ek din, iski mohabbat mein Zoe ki jaan at least ek baar jaayegi to zaroor.
As for Zoe. Well, if a man's pain can make you cry , his tears show up in your eyes, you go to the lengths of taking risks and committing crimes to just make him smile, do i really need to put it in black and white that you , somewhere , must be falling in that ' ishq waala' love with him?
