Imran was overrated from day 1. He had nothing except height and Amul butter complexion. He wouldn't have lasted in industry if not for Hussain family tag. BTW, Aamir Khan is his mamu not chachu.

God knows what made VB choose him for the Haryanvi character. Imran doesn't seem to be the kind of actor who can fit in any character. His dialogue delivery is also sub-par.

I bet Aamir & Mansoor are already searching for new scripts to re-launch him for third time!

Baby-faced?
Yes.

No muscles to speak of?
Yes.

No movie of his that really stands out?
Yes.
and No. (Enjoyed 'Delhi Belly')

Yet the guy can act.
But he needs to believe in his role or else the fake aspect overrides. (eg. I hate Luv Stories...Yucko! Double Yucko for Sonam Kapoor!...Who the hell got her into movies, BTW?...looks aside (what looks?! Those she inherited from first cousin to lungoors, Anil Kapoor?!) she cannot act if you held a gun to her head.)

Anywho, unfortunately, he tends to pick main-stream movies, and I think his niche is the off-beat, 'Delhi belly' kinda movies. He ought to go the Naseeruddin Shah road. He might have better luck there.

There are too many actor sons (Abishishek Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor...totally over rated and total washouts; especially the former) competing not to mention the newcomers who can dance and act and have muscles, a la Salman Khan, ready to rip a shirt in every other scene.

Other than that, he has expressed an interest in direction, and perhaps he ought to try that out.

I think he is overrated as hell. Someone said he has a craze! 😆 What craze?! The opening for his latest movie was a dull 6 crore on day 1. Now, he will probably be saved by the Once Upon a Time in Mumbai sequel! But that is a multi-starrer! I don't think he excites in solo films. Except for his mamu Aamir's movies, he only had one lame solo hit in I Hate Crap Stories! Kat carried Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Kareena with Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu. Do those films really count as his solo hits? Anyway, is IMRAN KHAN overrated? IS THERE still a FUTURE?!!!

Please share your thoughts. 😉

I wanna write him off but 3-4 years ago everyone wrote Salman off

look what happened he just needs to find his niche

He recently had his comeback hit with Sitaare Zameen Par. Shahrukh and Salman are nowhere to be seen. Aamir Khan will also be producing that...
