Priyanka Chopra recalls going through a tough time with pregnancies: 'Malti is my miracle baby…'

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, married in 2018, became parents in 2022 to Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, born via surrogacy. In a recent interview, Priyanka discussed her challenging pregnancy experiences. She revealed how Malti's arrival brought significant changes, marking a profound shift in her life. Priyanka recalls facing tough time with pregnancies

Priyanka shared that Malti spent 110 days in the NICU. She said, Our daughter was very coveted and very desired because I had a really tough time with pregnancies. She’s my miracle baby, so everything just stopped when she was born. I think it’s a preemie mom or a NICU mom thing, but I’m still in constant fear. When she’s not right by my side or she’s at school or when I’m in a different country, it’s this feeling that your heart is running outside of your body.

Priyanka mentioned that Malti already shows signs of being a performer. She’s in the middle of a room just telling her jokes and singing at the top of her voice. It’s such a wonder to me that she’s this human being who has so much of me, my husband, her grandparents, her ascendants, and every day she’s a surprise. She’s the greatest gift of my life. All my priorities have changed. Everything starts and ends with her.

Earlier, Priyanka disclosed that she had to announce Malti's birth due to a leak, revealing Malti's premature arrival and subsequent ICU stay. During this period, Nick sang to Malti, while Priyanka recited mantras. She now frequently shares photos of their quality time together, including on set during the filming of The Bluff.

Priyanka’s work front

Priyanka recently appeared in the film The Bluff and is set to return to Indian cinema in SSMB29, directed by S. S. Rajamouli. SSMB29, starring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is a time-travel film with a Rs 1000 crore budget. It's one of the most expensive Indian films, currently in production, and set to release in April 2027.
