Actresses are too much into cat-fights. Movie industry is male dominated.

Even if movies on female bonding are made it's mostly about heavy emotional issues - dealing with loss of spouse or domestic violence etc. Rarely entertaining.

Blame the women directors also who seem more keen on making movies on males than trying to make an entertaining movie on females.

Aisha was one but it was kind of shallow.

Dil Hai Tumhara or Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega don't seem like movies on female bonding. It's about two girls falling over one man. Few scenes of female bonding here and there, nothing else.

There was Meghna Gulzar's Filhaal too. Anyway, you are right. There are only a handful of Hindi films based on female-bonding. For perhaps the producers fear that such a theme might alienate the male viewers. And, to be honest, Hindi films do feature a pre-dominantly male perspective. That is the norm. Hence, the separate category of woman-centric films. Of course, the so-called woman-centric films often reflect a warped version of the same viewpoint.

This one is really beautiful movie. Ayesh takia was surprise package in this movie. Best performance by her and Gul Panag.

Loved the movie... Such a sensitive portrayal by both the actresses...

Another movie that comes to mind is Pinjar... Tho it wasnt entirely on female bonding, inbetween it did have some beautiful moments between Urmila and Sandali..

Sushmita and Manisha made Paisa Vasool in 2004 which failed to do much of actual paisa vasool-ing at the BO.
