I think you are partely right. I think he is hurt because of the fact that Aarti didn't trust them enough to share her secret with them. On the other hand I think that he is really testing there loyality towards each other during this hard period. The last time when Aarti left Yash and he found her, Papa ji didnt want them to come and live there anymore only the kids because according to him their ego's would clash again. But thist time Yash loves Aarti deepley and She loves him with all her hard and that will be their strength to survive together during this time.
