Parineeti's glamorous turn in Shaad's next

She played the tomboy to the hilt in both Ishaqzaade and Ladies Versus Rickie Behl. However, Parineeti Chopra is now gearing up for a complete transformation that will see her as an ultra-glam diva in Shaad Ali's Kill Dil, somewhat on the lines of Katherine Heigl in the rom-com, The Ugly Truth.

Helping the actress metamorphose from plain Jane to prima donna will be Shaad's new bride - stylist Aarti Patkar. We are told the two ladies will be going shopping all over India and Europe to give Parineeti 'the look'.

Parineeti, who confesses to being 'not much of a dresser' couldn't be more excited by the challenge of this makeover. Said Parineeti, "I really can't talk much about my role. But yes, it will have me transform into someone else. It's my first glam role. I'll try to look my best. I want to break my image of the traditional salwar-kameez clad girl. I love Indian clothes. But I can also carry off Western clothes. And that's what I'm going to wear in Kill Dill. But I won't be just a showpiece in the film. I've a lot to do in the plot."

A source close to the film said, "Parineeti has the image of a non-glamorous actress. Shaad wants to break that. The clothes would have to reflect a high-maintenance lifestyle, which Parineeti is not fully comfortable with. For now, her casuals would have to be discarded. She would have to dress formally, even off-screen, to stay in character."

So excited is Parineeti about Shaad's film and her role in it that recently, at the filmmaker's wedding, she and her co-star Ranveer Singh couldn't stop talking about it. The actress is very clear she won't do just any film for money but she is quick to point out she isn't averse to singing and dancing and looking glamorous on screen. "I loved Deepika Padukone's role in Cocktail. It has songs dances glamour, and yet it had a graph. You will be seeing me do all of that in Kill Dil," she rounded off.
