Hey Pals,

Dont you think that Ekta's shows are quite regressive n backward....cmon DIVORCE is not such a taboo, especially in Mumbai...people over there are open minded and educated..I think ekta maiya ne yeh issue story ko aage drag karne ke leeye udhaya hai😉

I guess now these people will make Palash marry Nimmo out of symapthy...so that her status changes from divorcee to a married women....God kub sudhrenge yeh log 😡 what say people

No, its a true fact that not all cultures are as progressive in their thinking as others. So that was not wrong of her to show that.

Really!!!!!! I thought people are more educated n liberal in their views in the bigger cities like Mumbai. I mean, things are changing in India...I dont say that the whole society has changed but there's a definatelya shift in our thinking process.

Besides I feel people in Mumbai do not have time, they have such busy lives...that they dont care abt such petty issues.....

i completely agree now a dayz ppl in india dnt seem to have tht much time on their handz tht the can sit around n gossip abt other ppls lifez but yeah the divorce thing ppl still have tht conservative opinion abt it they just need to get over it n move on there is a shift but still few ppl they cnt seem to have enough w/their own tensions tht they add more tension in their lives by gossiping

We may have progressed in many things in the last couple of decades but til today most of India [I wont say all...dont want to generalize] looks down upon divorce and worse, divorcees.

Looking at my own family, they feel divorce should be avoided at all cost no matter how miserable the respective couple are living.

I liked the fact that they brought that issue up in Nimmo. It clearly shows how people still think today despite the progress India has made. Our thinking continues to be the same despite living in a more modern day and age.

Kavita
