He's Amazing ~ Part 51

Khushi awoke the next morning feeling happier than usual. Without opening her eyes, she moved onto her right shoulder and extended her hand so that she could touch Arnav. Her fingers sought for him but couldn't find what it was looking for. Khushi snapped her eyes open and sat up. She held the covers close to her body, because she wasn't wearing any clothes, and looked to Arnav's side. She then looked around the room to see that he was fully dressed, sitting on the sofa with his laptop. She breathed out and pushed her hair away from her eyes. She held the covers and got out of bed and over to Arnav. She sat down beside him and looked at the clock, it was only 6:30 in the morning.

"What are you doing up so early?"

"Oh good morning baby."

He turned and smiled and moved into kiss her. Khushi didn't resist, and kissed him. But it didn't last and Arnav was the one to pull away. He then turned back to his laptop and started tapping away.

"What are you doing Arnav?"

"Akaash called at 6 this morning and said that some important client is going to the office and that they wanted a detailed report of the stock markets and everything. Akaash said that he would have done it, but it has to be done by me apparently. So have to get this done and emailed to akaash before half 6 this evening."
"I know its important, but work on honeymoon. I didn't expect that from you Arnav."

"Sorry Khushi, it has to be done."

"Have you eaten?"

"Yeah, I had breakfast, I was going to order yours as well but then I thought it was still so early, I'd order when you woke up. What do you want to eat?"

"Anything."

"Ok."

Arnav picked up the phone and ordered a large omelette with sundried tomatoes and orange juice. Khushi smiled and said that she would have a shower before eating. Arnav nodded and went back to his work.

Khushi came out of the shower feeling fresh and lively. She was wearing a plain anarkali. Just then someone rang the doorbell. Khushi went to answer the door. It was a maid with her breakfast.

"Ma'am should I clean your room now?"

"Err, yeah sure."

Khushi led the maid in who began working immediately. Khushi sat down next to Arnav and ate her breakfast. Once she was done, she left the dishes to the side for the maid to take and then began unpacking the suitcases. By 8 Khushi was completely bored. She had tried to make conversation with Arnav but he just nodded or shook his head. Khushi decided that she would call Lavanya. She went into the living room with her phone, so that she didn't disturb Arnav.

"Who are you and why are you disturbing me so early in the morning."

"Its me, Khushi!"

"What the hell, why are you calling so early?"

"Haven't you got out of bed yet?"

"No! I'm still tired after your wedding! Any way, you're supposed to be on honeymoon with your prince, why are you awake so early?"

"He's working."

"Working? What work!? He's supposed to be working you in bed!"

"La! Have some shame!"

"Hey its true and you can't deny it! Any way, give the phone to jiju, I'll sort him out for you."

"No La, it's ok. It's important work!"

"Right whatever. I'm calling him on Skype!"

With that Lavanya disconnected Khushi call and moments later she heard Arnav's laptop ringing. Khushi rushed into the room, just as Arnav was answering the call. Lavanya's tired face popped up on the screen.

"Oh gosh, Lavanya, good morning!"

"I got an issue with you."

"What that then?"

"Your wife just disturbed me. She woke me up because she was bored."

"Well that's good. She's getting you to stop being so lazy."

"Dude, she's supposed to be not bothering me at all the next week. You're on honeymoon! She's supposed to be preoccupied with you!"

"I know, but important work."

"Jiju, let me just say that, you will have work all your life, but you only have your honeymoon once. Don't waste this time on work! Think in a couple of years you wont get a moment to yourself because the kids will be running around after you all day."

"I understand La. We'll call you again later, you go back to sleep. I promise you my wife wont be bugging you again any time soon."

He winked at La and then disconnected the call. He saved his work and then switched the laptop off. Khushi rushed forward.

"I'm so sorry about that. I just couldn't find anything else to do so I thought I'd call La. Don't worry about me, I understand you have to work. I'm fine with that."

Arnav draped his arms around Khushi and took her lips in a passionate kiss. When they broke apart he looked into Khushi's eyes.

"No Khushi, Lavanya's right. I shouldn't be wasting my time working today. I should be making every moment with you special. She right, I mean after this week we'll be back in university and I doubt we'll have much time for each other, seeing as you're going to have a whole load of assignments to complete and then I'll be marking. And then after your graduation, we'll be back at home, and I'll be at work. Even then we wont have time, you'll be busy working around the house or going shopping with Di and Payal. Lavanya's right, this is our time and we should make the most of it."

Arnav kissed her cheek and then lifted her off the floor and placed her onto the bed. He shed his clothes off and then lay on top of her, kissing her passionately.
