Shymala dearest,

Yes, I think there might be a provision in Indian court that can be used to challenge a divorce decree from a foreign Court, and one of the cases I talked about, used this provision to challenge her divorce and her custody of her only child (the US court didn't give her any custody of their only child cause of her psychological problems). But, after the usual procedure, the Indian State High Court upheld all the provisions spelled out by the US court including the custody of the minor. Of course, in all the mug slinging that went on, only the lawyers laughed to the banks.

And you are absolutely right, the child custody squabbles that ensures in a messy divorce, is worst nightmare possible and the accompanying stress is beyond comprehension. Besides, under such circumstances a spouse can easily complain citing the child's safety anything on earth and things can easily amount to child endangerment and kidnapping. As for Ovi, if she starts a divorce in Canada, every time there is a date for hearing Arjun will have to travel to Canada, it isn't that easy to fight a case with no show, especially if he was going to fight to get custody of his child. Not only that since Arjun is probably a Canadian too, the lawyers can easily find loopholes to have him pay alimony in accordance with Canadian law and stating the child's living in Canada. I am not sure if Indian court will not upheld it, at least I haven't seen it yet (although, my knowledge is still limited). Besides, the divorce mud slinging between 2 business power houses will wipe the cool off permanently from Dk's face, because of all the media attention and gossip. Arjun, will be for once, will be forced to grow up in a hurry and take responsibility for his actions. And all the mud slinging can go on and on, for all of 18 yrs, until the child becomes an adult, and Ovi easily bring to Arjun to a Canadian Court at the smallest of excuses like the child's inability to travel cause of school. Can you imagine the continuous stress that can be created with 1 divorce and the child? All that romantic pyaar for Purvi will go out of the window😃. I really wish Shymala, that the CVs show some amount of reality cause, when kids becomes involved at least in the West, Court takes it up very seriously. True that Indian court doesn't give much alimony, but in Ovi/Arjun case, this can become easily turned into a high profile international divorce/custody battle with Lawyers on both sides of the Pacific too happy to oblige. And even if Ovi doesn't get much property (which I am not sure she won't since the Kirloskar should have some properties in Canada and Internationally too being such a wealthy business house) it will still give Ovi enough satisfaction to be able to pull Arjun into the limelight for reasons that aren't pleasant, and create enough business hurdles for Kilorskars😉

As for that case, I told you about about a divorce being granted without the other knowing about it, in real life the Indian wife did it to the hubby….life is truly stranger than fiction.

As for my using the term annulment, I used the term interchangeable for divorce, my bad, I guess was too sleepy to think through at 2 AM – although, I am myself unsure about the legalities of annulment. Will have to read about it soon 😃

Kalapi my dear,

I completely agree that a divorce case can be very messy, but right now there is no indication that Arjun wants any divorce. Moreover, that would be the last thing Manav would let Ovi do, for the mud would stick both ways. Neither would Archana. And Ovi does not seem to be the kind of girl who would defy both her parents, especially her father, and fight for a child that she would neither really want nor care for.

Dear Strega,

I suggested Mars because it is the only planet in the solar system where one can actually land a spacecraft and not get either drowned in a sea of gas, as with Jupiter or Saturn, or be instantly incinerated, as would be the case with Venus.

But I see your point; the most obnoxious cast and crew members can be sent to Venus, and the tolerable ones, who would all fit into the smallest size in spaceships, to Mars.

As for Arjun, I have often felt like giving him not just a wallop, but a sound kick in his backside with one of a pair of extra stout football boots. He deserves it and more for his sheer stupidity and fecklessness. I have an extra soft corner for him because my Sasha (Siddhartha) is only a little older.

LOL .@blue lets send one lot to Venus and the other to Mars and end the drama; do not care where they came from :)

Frankly, right now, I am only interested in one half of the quadrangle as you put it - The Purvi-Onir half. I see potential - but what man proposes, CV disposes. So am not holding my breath.

The Arjun and Ovi relationship is so messed up, for me, that I do not care any more. I know your tender feelings for the boy - but I feel like giving him a wallop. The actor is excellent - but the character deserves a good shake. I do not want to repeat again my dislike for Ovi.

And I was just being a little silly with the "Women are from Venus and men are from Mars" phrase :)

A kick with soccer spikes sounds a fine idea to knock sense into Arjun. I just cannot abide by people who take no ownership for their issues. And I have a more lenient attitude to Purvi only because she tends to own her problems and not blame others.
