Sonam-Punit give it a break

Sonam Kapoor and Punit Malhotra, who dated for more than two years, have reportedly decided to give each other some space and time.

The refreshingly young and good looking couple, never admitted to their relationship, but were often spotted by the paparazzi while on their dates.

The 'breakup' first came to everyone's notice when filmmaker Samar Khan who is making a short film starring Punit, posted on Facebook that they are looking for a fresh face. When asked why Sonam was not being considered, Samar dismissed the idea.

Though this is not the first time they have agreed to step away from each other, this time, professional commitments may have got in the way of the couple's personal priorities.

While Punit is busy with his next directorial starring Imran Khan and Kareena (and not his former girlfriend who starred in his debut), Sonam has a buzzing year ahead with Ranjhanaa with Dhanush, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag with Farhan Akhtar and a YRF film with Ayushmann Khurana. Sonam's followers on social media may have had some inkling of the impending change in her relationship status thanks to her pensive tweet in November: "Never expect anything. You will always be disappointed."

Hope this helps her focus more on improving her acting

She tweeted that Ranjhanna releases 28 June which is same day as Ghanchakkar release...darn bad idea to clash

dono pitay gi. I don't have a good feeling for these. Especially this ranghanana one lacks face value- i have seen the actor's face- he will not work in bollywood, south is a different story- so no chance here imo

^yea Dhanush aint a looker but he can act...lets see what happens...they should just avoid clash at any cost

I think bhaag milkha bhaag has a chance especially in North India
Also media is touting it to be a big hit next year...as you know media loves the Akhtar siblings 😆

I only saw his Aadukalam...n he was good there...I mean comeon...he got a national award for it too 😆
