The episode begins at Kesar Bagh
Kesar Bagh
Anandi (A) is about to get into her bedroom when she remembers Shiv's (S) words that their wedding's second night will be their first. She is scared and tells herself that she will not be able to do it and runs away from there. She then enters the study and sits there. She then recollects Sumitra's words where she was told that marriage is not a compromise but it is a relationship where the couple understand each other. She then picks the phone to call Sumitra telling herself that only she will understand her fears.
Next Scene
Jagya (J) remembering his meeting with Lal Singh where Lal Singh inofrms J about how worried the family is about him and also about Sumitra's ill health. J calls home when Dadi Sa (DS) picks the call but J doesn't speak.
At the same time A is also trying to call the house but finds the phone engaged. She gets worried and says to herself that she will not be able to go to the room.
Back in the haveli, DS is annoyed since the person on the phone is not talking but then realizes that it might be J, She inquires if it was him when J disconnects the call. This leaves her disappointed since she could not even hear his voice.

S goes in search of A. He enters the study where he see her resting her head over the table. A is awake and hearing him come, she closes her eyes and pretends to sleep. S carries her to their bedroom and puts her on the bed when her bangle gets stuck to his shirt. He separates it and closes the door. S looks very disappointed and covers A with a bedsheet. He then blows off the candles that were lit in the room, A sees him do so and again closes her eyes. S then sits on the bed and remembers what he told A about his expectation of his first night. He then goes off to sleep on the bed. Seeing this A has tears in her eyes.
Next Scene
J is outdoors when he is thinking about A and how badly he had spoken to her in the past. He walks towards a bonfire and stands in front of it when he thinks to himself that although he is trying to repent for his bad deeds, but he has wronged A so much that perhaps one lifetime would not be enough to repent for those actions.
Just then he hears a woman grasping for breath and sees her running in his direction. She is holding a little baby. She collides with him. She looks very scared. J notices a wound on her hand and shows concern for it. She takes a log from the burning bonfire and warns him not to come any close to her. J assures her that he is a doctor and she should not worry. She angrily tells him that she will burn him in case he comes close to her. J gets a little burnt and he angrily yells at her telling her that he is only trying to help her. She angrily replies that she doesn't need any man's help. Saying this she runs away.
Just then a group of people come running towards J and ask him if he saw any lady with a kid. J inquires who the woman was. One of the men reply that she is a mad lady who has stolen his kid. J then shows them the direction in which she ran. They follow her and take the baby away from her. J sees all this where the lady is screaming to get her baby back. The man thanks J for his help. Seeing this the lady looks angrily at J. They all then take the lady and go away in a jeep when the lady angrily stares at J.

Next day morning, A wakes up and doesn't see S on the bed. She recollects the happenings of the previous night.
In the next scene all the Shekhars are on the terrace/yard where Mahi is playing cricket with Nathu, Alok is watering the plants and the women are serving tea. A comes there and Irawati informs her that they are planning on going for a picnic. She then tells her to have breakfast. A looks around for S when she is informed that he has gone for a jog. A tells them that she will wait for S to come back and have breakfast with him. Iravati calls the rest of them for breakfast, and A helps nathu serve.
Shiv then arrives and A serves him tea. The family is talking about their plans of the picnic. S asks them where they were planning to go. Mahi replies that the whole family is planning an outing to celebrate A's entry into their family. They ask S to suggest a place but S asks them to decide. S then asks A about the Jaitser, canal project file which he has been looking for since morning. He asks her to find it for him and then goes away from there
Voiceover: Under no circumstances does a woman forget her past. Even after remarriage she is not ready to surrender her self to another man so easily.
Precap: Ganga (with a long ghunghat on her head) is brought to the clinic in which J works, for treatment of her wounds. J asks her how she got hurt when the man accompanying her replies that she doesn't do any work properly. J tells the man that he wants to know the reason from the lady and not him. The man's mother then replies that the daughter-in-law of their home is not allowed to talk to a stranger man. J starts treating her when he sees that her mouth has been tied. He is shocked.
