Preity Zinta is a Fab actress, She has had a strong run at the box office and at a point of her carrier she was also a threat to the likes of Kareena, Rani & others..

What went wrong, which wrong step in her carrier doomed her completely? I absolutely loved her, she gave us great movies like Soldier, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Kya Kehna , Kal ho naa ho, Koyi Mil gaya, Salaam Namastey, Har dil jo pyaar karega, Veer zaara, Lakshya, Mission Kashmir, Dil chahta hai, Dil se, Sangharsh. I loved her even in Heroes she portrayed the role of "Kuljeet Kaur" so well. The downfall began after Jaaneman and Kank..

Only her age went wrong. There are almost no heroines in BW who enjoy a successful career post 35. Sad but true.

These days age doesn't matter much, Bebo/PC/Vidya have all crossed 30 and are still dominating the box office right?

Bebo, PC are junior to Preity. Vidya has her own niche where she plays age-independent roles. Rani is Priety's contemporary and a far more powerful and acclaimed actress.. but even she is out of the rat-race now.

Her films flopped and she decided to focus more on IPL and her business ventures. She thought Bollywood would wait for her when she decides to come back. By the time Preity realized that BW waits for no one, the industry had moved on with Priyanka, Kareena, and Katrina.

Agreed. I also think that she was setting herself up for a marriage with Ness Wadia and sort of started to ignore her career. When that relationship fell through, she tried to make a comeback.. but like Karishma and Madhuri, fell flat. BW doesn't tolerate career gaps very well. Out of sight, out of mind. Only Sridevi broke this mold.. But then, she is in a class all by herself.

I loved her in DCH, KHNH, Veer Zaara etc. Sadly she gave importance to IPL over her career

Sridevi did break the mould but I dont see her flooded with offers or becoming a A lister again. If she is lucky enough to get more roles like EV then she can remain in the limelight. Or else she will have to do strong supporting roles if she wishes to continue acting. Somehow I feel we will see more of her in the future as a star mom than anything else.
