Thanks for replying Ovaltine! "Falling" in love has nothing to do with a person being selfish or not! But "Remaining" in love has everything to do with a person being selfish or not!
Pia has fallen in Love with Pushkar but could not remain in Love with him, because she is essentially a Loveless and Selfish Girl, but Bani not only fell in Love with Jai but also remained in Love with him, despite everything, now that has something to do with Jai and a lot to do with the kind of person Bani is!
Hence, what we are saying here is that Pia, whether selfish or not, is genuinly in love with Jai, as of now. And the fact that she won't be ablet to "Get" Jai, will ensure that she is always in Love with Jai! But yes, if Jai was to reciprocate her feelings, then I am not sure for how long her feelings for Jai would have stayed afloat!
Cheers,
MT
Being selfish by definition alone negates any possibility of falling in love. An intense CRAVING for the object of desire, self centric rationale while sorting out emotions, deluding oneself that feelings of guilt conveniently transformed into sympathy is love and removal of any obstacles while acquiring this object of desire is more like the stance that P has /will assume.
And if any quirk of fate or Kekta, JW choses P over B,ur are right there MT,it wont be long before P will find a reason to be disgruntled with her life with him
