Since, all of us (me too, me too) have been relentlessly bashing Cuddles, I thougth why not come up with something remotely defending him, although our man gives us very little reason to do so! But still, I have penned my thoughts on why I feel that Jai has no feelings left for Pia and that now he is on his way for a life time committment towards Bani;
Firstly, the scene where Jai goes to see Pia in the Middle of the Party and then telling her that he had no idea Bani would land up and then the Hug was a Dream Sequence and it was Pia's dream, btw! Jai just goes and stands at a distance and looks at Pia crying. If any of you are cribbing that Jai shouldn't have even gone to Pia, then I am sorry to say you are wrong. Jai has already committed Hara Kiri by committing Adultery with his sister-in-law and then going and rejoining his Wife, atleast he still has deceny enough to feel guilty about his deed and wants to clarify with Pia! I give him credit for facing the situation than running away (Which would be the easier way out given he has to explain to someone like Pia!)
Secondly, the way Jai reacts to Pia and Pushkar hugging and then the scene in the Mall where Pushkar kind of indicates that he had spent the night with Pia indicated he feels no jealousy or for that matter any emotion for Pia being with her husband. All the felt was relief and some kind of remorse for the blunder they ended up committing and unwittingly betrayed their spouses! Jai in no way looked insecure, envious or even slighted by Pushkar! The reason why he tells Bani to continue with their shopping was because he obviously felt guilty for both Pushkar and Bani and not because he was Jealous of Pia spending the night with Pushkar! (I saw the Video twice, hence am sure about Jai's look in this particular scene!) Infact it is Pia who gives Jai that strange look when Pushkar announces their Night-Camp…As if Pia wanted to see Jai's reaction to the news that she was with Pushkar the night before!
Thirdly, Look at Jai's reaction when Bani asks him if she can get Pia along with them in his Car. Jai looks disinterested but not awkward or scared! All he tells Bani is that he is waiting for her in his Car....and later when he comes to call her again, tells her cooly that Pia can come in the Company Car and that they should leave for the Hotel (Lolz...Wanna waste no time with his Wife😆)
Fourthly and most importantly, Jai's words when he goes to speak with Pia. He is not awkward, he is not hesitant and he is certainly not looking guilty. (Contrast it with his reaction to Bani after the C-night on 6/19 when he looked racked with guilt and confusion) He tells Pia rather frankly that he doesn't remember much of what happened (That again indicates Jai might have passed out and Pia must be getting delusional over him) but whatever happened might end up spoiling too many lives, indicating that Pia should shut her mouth on the issue. And then the most important revelation, he tells Pia that he was a LOST MAN when he came to her...Lost because he had lost his Wife and his child.....and hence he was in such a condition that he could have clung to anyone at that moment.....No wonder Pia looks so horrified.....Jai compares his night spent with Pia to one that he could have spent with just about any woman......Now we want to see Jai's answer or reaction to Pia's question, that did he come to her because she was the only support in sight at that moment? I doubt Jai will be able to answer her, Bani and Pushkar will land up from behind....The viewers are going to be kept in suspece with regard to Jai's feelings for Pia and Bani for some time to come!
Fifthly, Its officially confirmed that Pia is going to turn negative! Now why would Pia turn negative unless Jai decides to dump her unceremoniously? Pia till now is harbouring the feeling that althought Jai is back with Bani, he has feelings for Pia.....The day Jai tells her clearly that the reason he is with Bani is because he is in love with her and that Pia is his past, she is going to go total berserk with jealousy! Pia always had this feeling that Jai Walia was her personal property whom her 'Di' was taking care of and now she wants him back. Jai is going to set the lady right very soon! Hence, the very fact that Pia will turn negative means Jai will tell her to move on with her life as he is going to do the same with his own!
Now coming back to our Chameli Creeper (I loved this name given to Bani by Bubbles) who seems to have a Split Personality Syndrome affecting her since she has landed in Dubai with her Lota.
Although I am still not sure what exactly Jai feels for her now, I have listed some reasons of mine which will show that even if Jai is not in Love with Bani, he is surely committed to their marriage;
Firstly, Jai is not cold towards Bani...He is guilty and hence not able to meet her eyes or reciprocate her affections! How can he act normal with a wife after committing adultery with her sister? Jai must have lost his honor after 10/3, I would still like to believe that he has not lost his shame till now!
Secondly, Jai has never been a man to openly express his affection or love (For that matter neither was Bani, wonder what has affected her so badly...The Dubai Heat?) and hence, unlike say Pushkar or Saahil, Jai is not the one who will wrap himself around his wife or plant a kiss on her cheeks in front of the whole world or put his arm around her waist....I am sure Bani would love that, but Jai has never been shown to physically express his emotions with either Pia or Bani....(Except when he is drunk...Then there is no stopping the man!😆)
Thirdly, Jai is obviously surprised and shocked by the change in Bani's behaviour towards him. I mean, was this the same mousy and docile wife who couldn't look directly in her husband's eyes, who used to blush whenever he stared at her for even a moment, used to freeze the moment his hands even touched her.....Now the same lady is openly telling her man that she has lost too much time fighting and squabbling with him over the last few months and now its time to make up and literally, MAKE UP......Any guy would be shocked by the sudden turn of events...Although I must admit, its hilarious and kind of cute to see Bani turning so frank and open about her feelings.....Poor Jai must start looking for a good place to hide in his Walia Mansion from Bani! Hence, it is going to take time to let the feeling of Bani actually loving him and loving him so much sink in for Jai....The woman has been crying hoarse about hating him since the time she married him, now the about turn has obviously got the guy in shock mode, that might be one of the reasons for his non-reaction to Bani!
Fourthly, Jai would surely like to clarify everything with Pia and then tell garner the courage to tell the truth to Bani before going ahead with starting his Married Life with Bani all over again. (Although he shouldn't have ended up in Bed with Bani before telling her everything, but I guess Bani was just not ready to listen to the fellow that night!) How can you expect Jai to behave in a natural & routine manner when he is holding so much inside his Heart? If you remember, prior to the PR Raaz, inspite of falling in love with Bani and wanting to lead a life with her, he still couldn't come to commit himself to her, because he was holding back a huge truth from Bani. Now once again, he is in the same position….Jai has not only committed adultery, he has gone and done that with Bani's sister, a woman with whom he shared a past…Now all the more reason that he better confess the truth to Bani before going ahead anywhere!
Jai might still be unsure of what he feels for Bani, but he is more than sure on what he feels for Pia….that she is a closed chapter and that is it! Sleeping with her was just a nasty coincidence, it could have been just about anyone apart from her that night and it wouldn't have made a difference!
Hence overall I feel that while Jai might appear to be confused and in two mind about Bani and Pia, it is more than clear that he has made his choice of Life Partner and she is his Wife! I don't think Jai has any wish to walk down the Old Road once again! Jai tells Pia clearly that their One Mistake will end up spoling many lifes once again….and that he does not want it to happen!
