Zee TV's latest venture, Housewife Hai… Sab Jaanti Hai premiered on New Year's Eve 2012! The show marks the return for several stars on the channel, namely, Preeti Puri, Aanchal Dwiwedi and of course, Suhasi Goradia Dhami. Set in UP, Housewife Hai… Sab Jaanti Hai, is a family drama where the protagonist (Suhasi), a journalist by profession quits her job and takes up the toughest task in the world – that of being a housewife.

Suhasi's character is not something small screen fanatics are crazy about. She's not a damsel in distress but a smart, witty, educated woman with an agenda of breaking the stereotype that housewives are good for nothing.

Zee TV has done a wonderful job, so far, of portraying strong, independent woman, and from the last year or two, we've seen shows based in small towns with unconventional but true to life characters. Housewife Hai… Sab Jaanti Hai falls in the same genre.

Housewife Hai… Sab Jaanti Hai revolves around a dysfunctional family from a small town with a variety of characters. The only problem is that there are just too many of them. The first episode was overwhelming with a number of character introductions. Side note: The musical introduction however, was well done. Each of the characters will have to be given prominent screen space because we've read enough of headlines where actors call it quits due to lack of prominence in the show.

The setup seemed a lot like Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein meets Sasural Simar Ka and Kairi. The characters are a little too stereotyped. From the greedy to the geeky, from the spoiled brats to the over disciplined army man, the serial showcases too many shades of human personality.

A funny script and Suhasi are the two elements to look forward to in the show. Glad to see Suhasi portray a fun, girl next door after her epic love saga, Yahan Mein Ghar Ghar Kheli. Suhasi has proved herself a flawless actress over and over again, and this show is no exception. Anirudh Dave is alright as the cop, but not sure if its the Chulbul Pandey inspired character or the fact that Karan Grover was opposite Suhasi in her last show, but Anirudh seems like a misfit opposite Suhasi.

Verdict: Suhasi impresses once again in the fun light family drama. Too many characters might get a little too much to keep up to. Screaming Critics grades : Housewife Hai… Sab Jaanti Hai a B+ and **** stars.

Catch : Housewife Hai… Sab Jaanti Hai weekdays at 7 pm (IST).

who is the stupid who gave a review like this. May be he/she is a die-heart fan of suhasi and karan but review should be for the show, the jodi, all its characters and not about his own likes about his favourite actors

Poor review. Total partialty...reviews r never like this. No logic at all. Not going to except it. I guess while writing the writer moved onto his jodi dreamland.

The name of the person who wrote the review is in the link above. Overall the show did got praised.

Guess this didn't went down well with you:

'Anirudh Dave is alright as the cop, but not sure if its the Chulbul Pandey inspired character or the fact that Karan Grover was opposite Suhasi in her last show, but Anirudh seems like a misfit opposite Suhasi.'

So far we haven't really seen them together as a jodi or having any conversation or chemistry on the show. I'm sure the opinion would change once the track have started. Besides the above, the writer talked good about the show.

ya visha even this sentence .may be good for show but a review is never like this. It includes characterization review, review about how the title justifies the show, the lookup of characters and bonds in the family...not the PERSONAL view...

I do agree with the review and am fervently hoping that the large number of characters doesn't get to be too much. A balance is possible and I have my highest hopes that it will work here. The song was effective and a good way of introducing without overwhelming.

Kanhaiyya the character is a little larger than life for me which may be what makes the Sona-Kanhaiyya pairing seem a bit odd right now but I think it will work as it settles. It certainly worked well in the promos.

And it also worked in their offscreen segments. Try watching the SBS video i shared today and we can see that both of them are really bonding well 😊
