I am 48 pages too late to comment... so before I go off to read the comments I will pen down my thoughts...

I sort of disagree with the comparisons between Barun and Salman and Amir Khan cause unlike SRK, the other two have a legendary family that held the BW mantel for yrs... so the access into BW and the journey through was comparatively easier.

If we compare his to the likes of SRK, I dont have to re-emphasis the uncanny similarity they already share... infact Barun interviews have always somewhere reminded me of the earlier interviews of SRK when he was just making it in BW.

The advantage that he has over SRK is that when SRK joined BW he wasnt that big a name as Barun already is. He had a training with Barry John and a brief sting with tv. Infact when he did make it in BW and people started noticing him.. that people started recognising his as the boy in Fauji.

Barun has an advantage there... he is already an international phenomena and well recognised in comparison!! Without a acting degree.. he has already shown his skills that will just get polished with time...

We will be closing this thread for review to make sure that the topic is still on track .
