Why consummation made a big deal in tv serials

Every tv serial consummating a marriage made a big deal. Every couple has reservations regarding physical intimacy in initial days. Can't they figure that out before marriage whether they like each other or not. I started watching diya aur Baati recently and shocked to see the couple from 1 year never consummated their marriage till now. Now a new twist the hero says he will not till his wife becomes ips officer. How does career goal come in btw intimacy. Ridiculous and weird serials. In bv I can understand anandi point of view bcos of past baggage and good shiv came fwd to his desires but again he shld read her expressions now scared...nice to see Shiv in a different look despo one rather than asking permission or just blushing every time.

coz serial makers need drama.they will create drama out of any trivial thing

Because the serial CVs don't really know what to show after marriage. If this is over, then they know only separation or saas-bahu drama. So they prolong SR to keep romance track alive and ofcourse increase TRPs.

There r so many issues to deal with marriage after consummation. I like kuch toh log kehenge serial. They Atleast show issues within a marriage of a 18 year age gap doctor couple. I trust bv to show sensible tracks btw ansh other than consummation problem, like their careers, varied backgrounds, likes and dislikes, family issues, social issues etc.

There can always show parallel tracks of jagya and ansh. Ansh can have separate story not involving singhs too.

I think consummation ke baad kuch log serial se attraction kho dete hai islye cvs ko drag karna parta hai..

the only logis is trp is high if they don't consumate and we wait to see kab hoga yeh milan and it happens after lots of drag same is here also
