Family decides to go to Mumbai for the engagement of Palak and Gauri. The engagement ceremony takes place, we are introduced to the character of Sugna Das Gupta, Prasanjeet's mom, the guy Palak is marrying. At the ceremony Shashank tries to kiss Gauri, Gauri freaks out and pours water on him. Gauri overhears Shiv and Shashank talking about a bet on Gauri, whether or not she will give into her impulse. Gauri the next day, overhears Shiv and Shashank again and finds out Shashank was only trying to protect her image and that he was trying to prove to Shiv that she is not that type of girl. In the meantime Gauri's dad Alot decides to sell the house, Gauri and Kaya to try to save the house try to find a job. They go on a job hunt. Shiv in the meantime goes to pick up Vivan his cousin, the son of Shyla and Daksh. Shiv and Viva have a race. Kaya while waiting for Gauri gets hit by Vivan's bike, Vivan flees. Shiv following sees Kaya down, picks her up and admits her to the hospital. Gauri sees some guy leaving with her sister, she panicks and find out that Kaya is in hospital. Gauri tells the police the car number, Shiv is arrested, Gauri is blamed. Gauri tries to free Shiv, screws up again, but Mahen comes and frees Shiv and warns Gauri to be careful because this mumbai. Gauri goes to her new job, she is insulted by the boss Machen, Shiv's friend. Mahen happens to be there and scold Gauri for not asking his permission first. Gauri confesses that Alok is selling the house. Nikila, Mahen's wife gives Gauri the wedding jewels for safe keeping. Jewels go missing, Gauri is blamed again, she accepts the blams, and Mahen gets really angry asks her to leave the house because he feels like she is not being honest with him. Gauri is leaving, Maya aunty is taunting her, Mahen overhears and slaps her. Kaya then tells everyone that Palak stole the jewels and ran off because she needed the money. Mahen blows his head, Palak argues she does not want to marry Prasanjeet, disowns Palak, scolds Shiv for helping Palak. Mahen then tells that the wedding will take place but instead of Palak, Gauri and Shashank will get married, the wedding cards will the changed. Shiv is furious that Gauri is taking Palak's place in the house and vows to stop the wedding. Gauri again overhears Palak talking on the phone that she is going to run off to some hotel, Gauri follows her to stop her. But instead Gauri is trapped in the rooms with Machen, Shiv's friend. Police come and arrest them, Mahen frees Gauri, Shashank find out about Gauri's arrest. Mahen then overhears Shiv and Machen talking about how Machen trapped Gauri, Mahen blows his head again, Dadi is furious with Shiv for his behavior. Mahen the calls a press conferece to clear Gauri's name. Alok finds out about this and is sad, Gauri tries to talk to Shashank, but Shashank refuses to marry her. Alok tries to convince Shashank, Mahen convinces Shashank. The wedding is about to start, Shashank does not show up for the wedding. Gauri goes to the Mandap finds Shiv and runs off, Mahen tells everyone that Shashank has run off and will not come, so now Mahen has convinced Shiv to marry Gauri for Alok's sake. Shiv gives keys to Gauri to help her run again, Gauri runs to Shashank's house finds the house locked and goes to the park. Gauri meets HITEN, he advised her to follows this new path and not try to find happiness in a broken home. Gauri changes her mind goes back to the wedding and sits at the Mandap. Everyone is happy, Shiv is absolutely furious to see Gauri back, so he stalks off.
