"Shobha! Im so excited"

She smiled blandly.

"Whats the matter Shobha!" , I said as I rested my head on her shoulder.

"For how long do I have to tell you? Stay away from Yash!"

My face fell. I kept gazing her making a child like pout. She looked at me trying to make a straight face then chuckled. She kissed my cheek & said , "Bol! Tell me what were you about to say."

I narrated her the conversation i had with Yash last day. She listened patiently to everything , as usual & kept her face straight. This was her biggest & most annoying habit. I could never make out look at her face what is running in her mind. She didn't really reply anything , just kept nodding. We were about to reach school & I was hyperventilating while she was humming , 'Pal Pal Pal Har Pal Har Pal..Kaise Katega Pal Har Pal Har Pal'. I hugged her tightly.

We landed in school. There was something new in the breeze. We got out of bus & she clasped my hand to take me to the chapel , I resisted.

"I don't wanna go to chapel today . Can we just stand near the school gate?"

"To wait for Yash's bus? Don't be so stupid. Come with me."

We went to chapel , prayed , came back , stood in the assembly ground , waited. Sadly his bus was very late. The morning prayer started & throughout I kept looking back wether he has come or not. He wasn't there , who the hell doesn't come to school on Valentines Day! Huh! My head started aching very badly. I placed my head on Vidhi's shoulder & waited to head to our class. Meanwhile I heard a voice from the adjacent row.

"I bet she has a lot to gift you today Yash."

I turned around. It was Yash & Prateek. Both were laughing weirdly. Next what I saw was , Arpita rushed to Yash with a bouquet of red roses & hugged him. I had no courage to view the site longer.

"I think you should stop talking to Yash." , Paridhi said coldly.

"What?"

"I don't know Aarti. I feel he & Arpita are committed."

"He told me she is just his friend." , I smiled.

"You both cant have a scene together."

"Whats wrong with you Paridhi?"

She sat me & held my hand. Filmy Paridhi.

"I had a long chat with Yash. He doesn't seem to like you ' that way."

I stood up & with a straight face I said , "Alright. I have some work in the library. See you. Vidhi you wanted to go there too haina. Come."

My head was already paining badly since the morning , now it was just about to explode. I stood in between of the corridor , about to faint when Vidhi grasped me.

"Are you ok Aarti? Come lets go to the classroom."

She took me to my desk & I sat down , controlling the flood of tears waiting to glide.

One of my classmate shouted from the class-door , "Aarti! Someone is calling for you."

Vidhi ran out & came back in nano seconds , "OMG Aarti its Yash!!! And he is not alone. Arpita is with him."

"W*F"

I walked outta class & saw them standing , waiting for me.

Yash came forward & handed over my register , "I 'autographed' it." He was smiling. I was not. I started moving to my class when he shouted my name.

"Aarti wait."

I stopped & looked at him.

"You asked me for my performance CD."

I held out my hand , was Still not looking at him. He hadn't placed it yet. It was then when I looked deep into his eyes. His eyes were piercing my heart. I didn't say anything but kept looking into his eyes. I threw a glance on Arpita then came back to my class.

"You ok Aarti?" , Vidhi asked me.

"Take me to the medical room. Im not feeling."

"So. What all happened today? I want details." , Shobha was ecstatically excited when she asked me this. I leaned on her shoulder & narrated what all happened. She pecked my forehead as i slowly slowly shut my eyes.

Within few seconds I got up immediately , "OMG I forgot something."

"What"

"My register! I forgot to see my register he had signed."

"Open Open!"

I opened the register & it was blank.

"W*F"

"Check the last page!" , she suggested.

"Oh My Gosh!" , we both screamed together.
