I think today's episode needs a lot of re-editing.

I think the reason why some of Surbi's scenes were messed up was because of the fact that she was injured and had to be rushed to the hospital, but still I couldn't understand the slight smile on her face when she was lying down at Asad's house. I wasn't sure if that was her crying face of if she was trying to smile or if it was a mistake. In any way that was really distracting and I couldn't really focus on the scene.

Then Asad's fight sequence had so many flaws. He was kicking in air and men were dropping all over the place even though the kicks weren't even hitting them and you could clearly see he wasn't kicking them. I was really disappointed with that. Do these people thing, we the audience are fools and we won't be able to notice such detail. Seems as if they are in a rush to produce an episode and throw it at us then making sure what they are doing makes sense, doesn't have such big mistakes in it and what not.

I agree the guy cut her hand and the girl does not show any pain or emotion. If it was me over there I would be crying thinking about all the long term consequences of that cut and freak out seeing my blood. Then I would freak out more thinking about the fact that if I didn't put my hands up fast enough my face would have been cut. Forget about that I would be screaming in pain, freaking out about having to get shots because I just got cut by a knife and I could catch infections, I would totally be sitting there thinking and praying I get out of the situation but nope we had Zoya sitting there, getting cut and then giving her hands one glance and that too with not much of an emotion and the fainting and miraculously getting conscious when Asad picks her up.

Asad's mom reaction was a little weird. I would have ran to the girl as well. She just stands there goes "oh my gosh what happened to Zoya?" Well, gee, I am not sure! She was in claws of a monster. What do you think just happened?

Overall, I think the CVs's need to pay way more attention to the scenes.

Well it's a nice post in the sense you have put down what you felt about the episode beautifully. But I have to disagree on some points.

To me yesterday's episode was one of the best episodes of QH so far and I didn't find any fault in direction.

Regarding what everyone is saying about Karan's lack of emotion and his wearing sunglasses when he went to pick Zoya, I didn't find it any strange. He was wearing sunglasses when he came inside and to talk to Akram he removed it and it was in his hands and when he went to pick Zoya, by natural instinct he could do only two things with those glasses. That's either put them on once again or put them in his pocket. And he did the first thing. So it's a natural thing anyone would do at that moment and I didn't find it strange.

Now coming to Asad's lack of concern on his face, here two things explain it. First he is not someone who shows his emotions to people; even those closest to him like his mom and sister, he lets his guard down very rarely… so he wouldn't show it suddenly out of the blue to all those strangers there including Akram who works for him and with whom he has that formidable relationship of a boss and employee. Second the fact that he was so angry (and anger and disgust was very much obvious on his face) at Akram and the gang is evidence that he was concerned for Zoya. If he did not care about what happened to Zoya why would he feel so angry? So to me Asad's expression was very apt to the situation and in line with his character. Now if he was shown rushing to the scene and when he saw Zoya if his whole face was shown changing with concern or perhaps it was shown that he rushes to zoya, the girl he could not stand till few hours back with tears in his eyes , that would have been very unrealistic and out of character. Here he did not even come and say their classic sentence 'are you alright?'.. and frankly if he had said that in this situation, it would have been very comical because anyone can see from the first glance that Zoya was not alright. So seeing the condition Zoya was in he was concerned and his concern had made him angry and his priority at that time was taking Zoya from there. And in this situation, no other expressions and not much dialogues bashing Akram was required.

Then from the time he entered his house with Zoya in his arms, a lot emotions were clearly seen on his face as if during the journey from that place to his house with Zoya, the reality of what had happened had hit him fully and he had truly realized the gravity of what had happened and could have further happened with Zoya had he not reached there on time...and in the privacy of his home, in that alone moment with Zoya, it was clearly seen that he was feeling so many things – the anger was replaced by concern, anguish, guilt and that first touch of perhaps love which he is still unaware of. So the emotions of Asad had progressed very naturally, and to me it was executed very well.

Yes the expression on Dilshad's face was a bit strange. She was worried whole day about Zoya and when she finally saw Asad entering the house carrying Zoya in his arms which he wouldn't have done unless something was really wrong, her expressions should not have been that mild.. or it could be that when some people are suddenly too shocked, they become expressionless, unable to believe and take in the real situation. This could be how Dilshad behaved. Anyway except for Dilshad's expression, I didn't find anything amiss in the episode.

Agree with all the points here / but if we leave logic aside, it was still a very heartfelt episode. They just really need to improve on the editing.

Also I hate how they keeping cutting out scenes in the episodes here in te US! Like today they edited out scene where the goon slashes Zoya hands, and it just jumps to her reaction. So it was kinda confusing to see why she was acting like that... I found out why when I rewatched the episode online! Ugh.

Do agree on some of your points...there were some serious editing flaws and couldn't connect with some of Zoya's emotions which seemed to go on and off, Najma was good but Dilshad seemed lost. Asaad I think was being his character but yes they needed to show some scene between him and Akram.

I have never seen a reserved guy who dont show up emotions and keep all his pain inside run to a guy and cry becoz its ot Asad character and nor he is in love . He is feeling gulty but when he was alone with zoya even alone in his room he was repenting so i guess for a reserve guy it looked real if he goes running to zoya then it would have seen unrealistic ...
My point is after showing concern abt zoya where Dilshaad gone ?
Why didnt nazma brought First Aid box ?

And yeyyy Akram should be arrested but i guess Asad was in hurrey to bring injured zoya home may be he later take some action . let see what shown today

AshRun, Princessjojo, -a04, Rupunzale,

Agree with pretty much everything y'all have said. I didn't hate the episode but I didn't enjoy it fully either. There were parts of it that were alright, some good and some that could have been so much better.

I did post some of my thoughts in my response to Rupunzale's post here:

What I liked and what could have been different:

1. I liked that Asad was calm and not too dramatic... But felt he could have been way more eloquent about his disgust for what he witnessed. I would have liked to see shock and horror at seeing Zoya in distress, because of his insistence that she go meet Akram

2. The concept of the fight sequence was good... the moves were cool, great for TRPs but it could have been better executed, better timed. It could have been better if the baddies had prevented Asad from taking Zoya and the fight ensued. The bloopers of Asad not actually hitting/ kicking the baddies I can overlook but the timing of the sequence i cant. I mean who would leave a bleeding woman on the chair to fight the baddies? If he had headed out ignoring them, her hands wouldn't have been slashed.

3. Najma's reaction - thumbs up, but Dilshad... Totally off. Bad direction like you said.

4. Good song choice for the bedroom scene... His concern, guilt and regret evident. Him covering her up... Zoya calling him by his name, reaching out for him, Asad taking her hand in his... All that jazz 😊

5. Zoya asking about the nikaah and Asad's reassurance "we're home now and everything will be alright"... I hope he will make it right... Police action, et al.

6. The flashbacks as Asad ponders over his error in judgement about Zoya... Him finding her earring...

7. Najma and mommy giving Asad the cold shoulder... Fine for now, but I would like Dilshad giving her son a piece of her mind at a later date

I can't recollect who said it... But I agree that I do pick on this show... For me, I think it's because I expect more from the makers of this show. And why not? They think differently, and most times execute well. Perfection would be great but I can settle for greatness.😃

Honestly, there isn't much for me to add to what you guys said in response to my topic because I wholeheartedly agree with every word 😊 Yes, it was very hypocritical that they gave Asad and Ayaan those dialogues. I think they're trying so hard to incorporate the Delhi rape case into the drama that they're forgetting we have brains lol!
I appreciate the fact that they are incorporating it, but proper placement into the drama by the right people please, CVs. SO far I haven't seen a single man in this drama who respects women. And yes, as eternal_love mentioned, In America, they did leave out the part where the goon cuts Zoya's hand. My family friend had come to visit and she likes QH so even though I'd already seen it online , I saw the first 10 minutes or so with her and realized that they made the scene even more confusing by leaving out that part. Editing should be done in such a way that it doesn't spoil the narrative. I knoww I'm being really picky with this show, but as adeeti10 said that I expect more. Although, 4Lions have let me down with their previous 2 shows, I wanted to see improvement with the third show because I thought they would learn the audiences likes/dislikes through experience. However, I don't think they have learned their lesson. I can't believe that being a Muslim herself, Gul is just reinforcing the stereotypes instead of proving them wrong. She has disappointed me once again..Allah Miyaan, WHY on earth did I start watching this show ??

Aditee, I think it was me who mentioned the picking in one of the threads 😳 unless someone else had the same thought.

Thing is I've mainly only watched Fake-ta Ka-Jhoot shows..so this is quite a departure from the sickness she shows. Never seen a 4lions show before. 😃
