Flaws in direction 2day and what I liked

Firstly, I have to say that Surbhi and Karan are Fantasticcc actors, I had tears in my eyes while Asad stares at her during the song sequence. The song was appropriate because Zoya has a lot of pain in her life and Asad will become her strength in the near future so the lyrics suited their situation. Bang on CVs for picking that song šŸ‘ Now coming to the direction, I didn't like Dilshad's reaction to seeing Zoya. I don't know if that's a flaw in direction or acting, but it wasn't appropriate in my opinion. Najma's reaction = perfect. The way she panicked on seeing an unconscious Zoya made sense. Dilshad wa sshown to be so concerned about Zoya and when she finally comes home , her reaction was kinda slow. She shoulda gone running upto her like Najma did.
Also, why did Asad not call the police immediately?? After bringing Zoya home, I think it would have been normal human behaviour to just call the police. If he had the guts to say so much to Zoya ever since he has met her and the police officer who was torturing Ayaan, why couldn't he say anything to Akram?? He just beat up the goons, but did nothing to Akram. Not even a slap?? Really, CVs?? That's sexism right there. A girl gets to hear a lot of mean things and gets sympathy only when she's about to faint and die from a lot of blood loss but a man can get away with putting her in that condition??
There was a point when I was not happy with Surbhi's reaction, I mean I did say that she's a good actress but I think she's better at those comedy scenes. Her reaction to the guy cutting both her hands was not very..appropriate.. she just opens her mouth and thats about it. The director shows her fainting after that cut which made me think that its because of blood loss, but then she opens her eyes again and looks into Asad's eyes when he picks her up. What was with that??
Lastly, When Asad tells Najma to get the first aid kit, it felt like she took forEVER until the whole sequence went on. The amount of injuries that were shown on Zoya required immense and immediate care. Asad just stood there staring and staring at her while her wounds kept bleeding. I'm sorry guys, I liked the concern and the song and stuff, but these things cannot be ignored. It's not like she just fainted. Atleast show the characters reacting to a girl who has like 4-5 wounds and bruises on her body. Overall, as a viewer, I reserve the RIGHT to say that for ME, it was not a satisfactory episode.

We all went in a different direction when we saw the spoiler picture and then to real episode where nothing like that even happened.

I really wanted to LOVE today's episode but I couldn't because I had so many problems with it. I keep on repeating and repeating I DISLIKED Asad wearing his sunglasses because we couldn't see any of his facial expressions. Rather then a heroic entry a more concerned one would have been better for the atmosphere.

I don't mind that he just lectured the goons picked her up and left because it's his personality he was calm about it and seemed like his first priority was just to get her out of here. He's not a thug BUT I thought he would get FURIOUS when he saw Zoya's condition which he didn't.

When Zoya got cut no emotion just began to fight again. When he carried her I liked her expressions because she was soft and he was not. NO EXPRESSION from him.

It's not that he looked cold or angry he just looked too "heroic." Yes throughout the first half Zoya was lost. Sometimes she's awake sometimes she's not lol it was confusing.

Ditto. I did expect Dilshaad and Najma to have a panic attack. Najma was miles better then Dilshaad.

For me what saved the episode was the scene Zoya was reaching for Asad and he took her hand. That damn well represented something. It was soothing to look at.

I have to agree with you on several points-and I noticed these as well the very first time I watched the episode today. These include:

Asad's stern face when he looks at a bruised Zoya the first time: no shock or pain on his face?? Also, not much interaction with Akram- I still give them time until tomorrow or day after for that to redeem the scenario.

Zoya's reaction immediately after the guy cuts her hand and her staring at Asad when he carries her. She should have been in immense pain coz the cut seemed pretty deep.

Dilshaad's cool reaction when she sees Zoya!

Not calling the police-although I'll give them credit if it happens tomorrow. Remember that in the serial, we are still in the same day and it has only been about an hour or so since Asad has found Zoya, brought her home and had the doc see her.

So Many Thing Are Not Perfect.. In Supposed To Be Best nd Relation Changing Episode...😳
Bad Editing In Asad Carrying Zoya... There Is Visible body Double Face in Between... 😔
Asad May Call police Tomorrow.. But I Feel Today Lil Bit Draging.. With Song in BG.. 🄱
Asad Just Went Leaving Zoya In That State Is Not Acceptable.. Asad Asked First Aid Kit nd It Was Never Come.. Strange.. Wat Are Dilshad n Najma Doing Down While Zoya Is In Bad Condition... Waiting For Song To Finish. šŸ˜† Did They Went To See Zoya At All Or Busy in Cocking Dinner.. šŸ˜•
Overall All Episode Was Good... If We Leave Logic asidešŸ˜†

Thank you for bringing up the sunglasses point. I don't understand why he puts them on while walking towards Zoya to pick her up. It made it seem like he wants to look cool, that kinda made me laugh šŸ˜†
Yeah, I have nooo idea why Zoya was told by the director to close her eyes and make it look like she has fainted if he had to tell her to open them for the next scene. Agreed that Asad isn't athug, but he is verbally abusive towards Zoya. He has brought in her jeeju and upbringing while arguing with her. How come he didnt say anything to Akram today?? He just said that he's not a MAN LOL but I wanted to see/ hear more. Instead of showing him fighting like a hero , they could have shown an intense conversation between Asad and Akram..that would show his possesive side ya know?? I am getting kinda tired of the action scenes because we've seen Asad fight 3 times already. Enough. lol!

No thank you LOL because you're the first who gets why I hated his sunglasses. Everyone is busy drooling at how amazing he looked with them on. LMAO YES YES I don't get it either. That's what made the episode pathetic over small stuff like that WE NOTICE EVERYTHING. Like I said the episode was to heroic. Entering glasses on. Leaving glasses on.

DITTO. DITTO. He lectured everyone EXPECT Akram. I found it so funny when the goons were calling him he PUT and injured Zoya on the bench and WENT fighting LMAO does this is even make any sense. I am so anti with this episode.

Asad's second fight with Zoya was the best gotta give props for that but this action scene was a little to long.

It didn't have any emotions, expressions, and intensity. The main components were missing.

Great post!

i found a lot of things missing and the first and foremost was Asad not calling the cops and reporting the whole incident...I made a post addressing that too.

There has been a lot of misconnections too...I felt the fight sequence was stretched a bit too far...instead they should have concentrated on calling the cops and getting these barbarous criminals arrested. I really have no doubts that Asad has qualities of sexist...it's getting really obvious he is turning out to be one with his double standards. He could accuse Zoya for every possible reason but just say nothing to Akram instead of a mere glare.

the most disappointing was Dilshad's reaction...I really don't know what to think of it because Dilshad's expressions of angst was all along present until she saw Zoya . Shalini Kapoor acts really well...I think it's a direction mishap.

What I loved was Zoya calling out his name Asad and asking about Akram and the nikaah...she knows that she was violated and she is going to fight back...gosh this girl is so strong and she will come out with flying colors.

Honestly...none of the characters in Rashid's house is noteworthy or praiseworthy to me...nor can I tolerate their dilutional state of mind with Razia and Shireen...along with the girls...no one has a backbone...I just fast forward their scenes. Written updates are fine to catch on their story.

Hi

I am not completely agreeing or disagreeing with your analysis. Just presenting another point of view.

What they were trying to do from a story perspective was good but there were huge problems with execution, direction and editing. The fight scene was very poorly edited, you could see Asad's leg missing all the bad guys. They needed to edit better. The continuity didn't work...I could go on and on.

What saved the episode and why I really liked it is the fact that Asad finally realized his mistake and is on the road to liking Zoya. Their song is wonderful. The actors Karan and Surbi are fantastic. Even though the expressions were not completely bang on..that had more to do with direction than acting and story.

I will excuse Surbi because it was reported that she got hurt during the filming of these scenes. Karan is too good looking to be blamed for anything (the six pack factor ;)

Sunglasses: the reason I felt he put them back on was because he knew he was going pick her up and he didn't have anywhere to put them. It was a sunny day in Mumbai ...oops Bhopal (the palm trees threw me) and he knew he would need them on the drive home. And of course he is the hero they look fantastic on him.

Dilshad and Najma ... Have no excuses for them. Was busy enjoying the bedroom scene to miss them. Karan's expressions weren't as fantastic as the darga scene but they were great.

Ok I admit it I am as confused as the CVs and have the same problem as them getting from beginning to end. Have no idea what my point is!?!?!

I am not going to watch the epi again because now I will probably only focus on the flaws!

Ok I don't want to miss anyone, beacause all the replies were so wonderful so thanks fo r them everyone!! I'll reply to everyone individually, but in one post so that I don't spam hahah!@Princessjojo :yes, I am sure they will redeem the scenario with Asad firing Akram and all that, but it was more necessary to show it today in my opinion. I wanted to see a furious Asad giving Akram a lecture on his upbringing and how he needs to treat women with respect. If zoya the girl has to hear a gazillion thinngs then why not Akram, right?? That would be a more powerful scene than the fighting scene which was unnecessary. EXACTLY, the cut seemed so deep and so much blood or red paint was shown to be flowing and flowing but her reaction didn't seem like she was thatt hurt.
@santhu.the.King : Thanks for the reply!! 😊Omg, first of all, I must say that you made me laugh when you said that Dilshad and Najma were waiting for the song to finish LOLL! It just seemed so odd that the song kept playing and Najma and Dilshad were nowhere to be seen.It was supposed to be a cricial episode as you said, but I didn't think it was substantial enough. I had the feeling that you get when you haven't eaten enough despite having wanted to lol!
@ -a04 : hahah you're welcome!! I was literally laughing about the sunglasses because I guess they know he has a lot of female fans who will just drool over how good he looked. They need to realize that there are people like us who also want to see some logic and not just how cool he is. Yes, the epi lacked good emotions big time, the only place where I saw them was in Asad's room and that too only from Asad's side. and LOLL yes, how intelligent to leave a bruised person on the bench and fight with goons while she bleeds away. With the amount of bruises she had, it would be smarter to call the police and ambulance before dealing with goons.
@Rapunzle : Exactly, agree with what u said, and I wanna add that even I don't like or understand any of the characters in Ayaan's house. The reason I started watching this show online is so that I can forward all those scenes loll! šŸ˜† Let alone relate to them, I can't even imagine that weird people like that exist in the world. When Asad tells Akram that "real men respect women" , he just seemed like a hypocrite because he clearly doesn't respect Zoya. You don't judge someone's character if you respect them, Asad lol!
@ Shell16 : Yup, not just the fighting scene, all the scenes needed better editing. No offense to Surbhi because I like her, but getting hurt during the shoot is no excuse to emote the way she did today. All she had to do was give correct facial expressions when she got cut but she didn't do that. In my opinion, that has nothing to do with the fact that she got injured. and Sorry, but I still feel like there was no reason to carry his glasses into the house. He could have left the glasses in the car or put them in his pocket, right??

hi ash...gosh we think alike...ok...It was hypocrisy to the extreme...yesterday was Ayaan's lecture to humaira about respecting women...what a joke? This from a guy who doesn't know what the word respect means and today Asad's lecture was extremely annoying. He hasn't shown an ounce of respect towards Zoya and all those accusations just because she is a NRI...I am beyond upset. I took that very personally because I am a NRI too. I want Zoya to move out of the house ASAP...her family ( jiju and sis) should be able to arrange some other accommodation for her I am sure...but I know considering her physical and mental state she cannot move right now.
