not start an independent thread on your beloved Purvi. Both you and I know what happens whenever you start one - i get bogged down in an interminable series of exchanges with you, you tenacious child, and then I have to give up in sheer exhaustion. Right now, I simply do not have the energy to argue with you about the dumping specialist, aka Purvi Onir Dutt nee Purvi Deshmukh.
Just look at what she is in the process of doing to that poor besotted Onir - the girl has some sort of Siren Song,like Circe in the Odyssey, that turns strong men into, well, not pigs perhaps, as in Homer, but definitely puppy dogs that follow her about wagging their tails.
I used to rage at Arjun after that hilltop capitulation, for not having told Purvi exactly where she got off. Now, Onir bids fair to give him a run for his money in the marshmallow (or pajama) stakes!
Yesterday they poured a lot of water on him and made him listen to a sad song,embellished with flashbacks of him and his
Mishti, of the kind till now reserved for Arjun, and finally he came home calling to his missing, runaway wife and asking her to get his kurta. I thus have no hopes of his displaying any spine at all. I felt like clouting him one good and proper This is what happens to most of the men in PR.
It was to be noted that the runaway wife did not display any matching signs of missing him or feeling sorry about her decision. So here we have a
sanskaari patni who
, when her excessively loving and caring husband refused to accede to her demands, ups and leaves him, saying that without 'understanding and bonding' (shorthand for dancing to her tune) their
grihasti is pointless and she will now consider her
aai's home as her own.
She lets it be known that her baby is his (and I very much hope so, though the jury seems to be still out on that), and yet she has no hesitation in cutting him off,abruptly, from her and the baby - she does not even take his calls. It was quite unbelievable! At this rate, no marriage would survive.
The CVs, having cut up the original Purvi very badly already, now seem hellbent on destroying whatever is left. How could they show her treating the institution of marriage so irresponsibly? If Onir, or Arjun earlier, had cited the same lack of 'understanding and bonding' and ditched her, the protests in the forum would have raised the roof. Now there is, for the most part, an uneasy silence, punctuated by laboured defences of Purvi on the grounds that she loves Ovi (??) and her
parivaar. Fine, but then she should never have got married to a very decent man, and having done so, she should not now be trying to emotionally blackmail him into doing something he considers professionally improper.
Never you mind, Abhi, you can relax in the certitude that Onir will be arriving very soon at the D chawl, full of contrition for having presumed to stand up (even if only briefly) to his
Mishti, and eager to reclaim her by now agreeing to treat her
pyaari behena. Grrr...🤢It is another matter that Ovi's tantrums would have by then driven our
tyaag ki murti Jr. to the K chawl. I suppose Onir can just as well go there!
All in all, a miserable situation. I do not like good men to be reduced to putty like this. If either Onir or Arjun were my son, I would disown him pronto. Or alternatively, thrash him till he became more sensible!!
So you see, we would be arguing interminably, and I do hope you refrain from starting that thread. If you do, I shall try and imitate Odysseus in the Homeric epic (he had himself tied to the mast of his ship, so that he could do nothing however strong the pull of the Siren Song) and simply stay out of the debate!

Even as regards the 'bonding and understanding' part, any lack of it is only from her side, not his.
