It is not true only mom has the capacity to love while Dad is only the provider. That is 19th century idea. Now dad is equally participating in bringing up a kid.
Ram"s sense of resignation in HM when he confessed that he has no hope of having his own kid was so heart wrenching. Priya was the only person to know of his dard and then she does this. Now Priya had lakh and one way of even indirectly letting him know of the existence of his child. But no, she robbed both dad and kid of their rights. to happiness.
The most logical lines by her was that she cannot substitute the father's place in Pihu's life..She was the mother and can only be a mother always.
As for RK's acting prowess- That only provokes us to write reams on a fictional character in an artificial situation.Right?

I would agree with you all abt the Mom's vs Dad's Love..and I would like to add a few points here. What makes everybody believe that Peehu doesn't need Ram's Love and all she needs is Only Priya's Love? Being a parent myself and observing friends' & cousins' kids around, I can definitely say Dad's role has definitely changed for good...There was a time when Dad used to be the sole bread winner of the family, while the Mom takes care of the household n kids..But times have changed now..and a Dad does play the role of Mother and Father when the Mom steps out of the house. And so does the Mom, when the dad is out of town..That doesn't mean that we rate one over the other.
I believe "Ram's EGO" & "Maa ki Mamtha" line has been overused by now and if it was really his EGO speaking,he wouldn't have stood there and listened to Priya..Instead there would have been a big fight/argument between Ram n Priya yesterday. Ram could've told Priya you don't trust me with Peehu...I'll make u suffer for all the pain u gave me...he would throw those dolls outside and said..I've bought her more expensive toys..my daughter doesn't need them..But No. He didn't say anything like that...becoz it was not his EGO. He genuinely felt Priya's pain and he knew her concerns and acknowledged them. If there had been a scene with Ram stopping by at Priya's apt in the middle of the night and Ram sobbing then everybody would've said how selfish Priya is..and how Mahaan Ram is. It's just that this Man has seen so much in Life without Priya...he has learnt to be emotionally strong and not let his emotions show. But the day is not far when he breaks down terribly in Priya's arms and all his family will realize what did Peehu & Priya mean to this Man. I'm so Happy with Priya's lines..so far this week. All I would've to say is that Not to Mix up and over-rate MOM's Mamtha over Dad's Pyar..Both are equally beautiful...whatever be the equation between the Parents.
