CHAPTER 10
The journey begins…
PRESENT
Next morning, he was ready with his backpack on and his bike ready and cleaned at the entrance. This bike was the craze of his Geet. She just loved this bike as soon as she saw it and that was what prompted him to buy it the next moment. He smiled thinking about her celebration when she saw him on the bike, waiting for her outside her hospital. She was jubilant, forgetting that she was a doctor and screaming like her patients: kids! She was a pediatrician by profession…her job was to look after the health of little kids and she was nothing less than them…
Even though there was no idea of where she would have gone, his instincts told him to go to the orphanage she always visited. Something inside him screamed that it will be worth to pay a visit there.
He descended down the stairs and swung his leg over his bike, getting travel ready. That was when his two brothers spotted him and they hurried to him, looking tense.
'Where are you going bro?' asked Dev concerned.
'In search of Geet' came a reply without missing a beat.
'But where will you search her? I mean you don't even know where she is…bro this is really risky…we can take the help of police…please bro don't do this…' requested Dev.
'It is true that I don't where she is but it is only a matter of time before I find out where she is…I have confidence…trust me, I will be fine…don't worry…' he replied, smiling at his brothers.
'But what if dad asks? What will I answer him? What will you answer him?' blurted out Rosh, making Maan promptly take out his cell phone and throw it at him. He closed his eyes before revving the engine and zooming away from the Khurana Mansion, in search of his love…

Leaves rustled softly as though an angel was walking over them. She was nothing less than an angel though, softest and kindest of all…
Her smile illuminated the whole atmosphere, making it glow in her innocence…
But now, the world around her was dark…because she herself was in darkness…with no light radiating from her…
Tears were her constant companion now…there wasn't a single moment without them…they washed her constantly in the pain her heart was feeling, stabbing her every moment with the betrayal she faced.
Her eyes mirrored her heart, letting the world know about the dark world she was trapped in…
The trees, sun, moon and everything around her seemed lifeless, as though they were feeling sorry for this angel.
She walked aimlessly in the direction her wounded heart was guiding her….

With only the thought of getting back his Geet running in his mind, he continued his journey, oblivious that his bike was garnering quite a number of staring eyes. This had to be the costliest vehicle for miles around and so, people couldn't help but stare at the bike and the man riding it…
But Maan cared less to all these nonsense. It didn't matter how many people were staring at him. The only gaze he wanted was of his Geet. He just had to know why she told that he hadn't understood her…he hadn't seen the real her…he just had to!
As he was driving, his eyes fell on a large banyan tree near the bus stop and his heart raced. This was the very place where he had met his Geet for the first time in his life. He parked his bike and came beneath the shelter of the huge tree, with a small smile adorning his face, feeling happy remembering his first meet with the girl who became his life…
[This is where our actual story starts…the happy one…the journey of the two love birds…]
