With his successful innings at the box-office as an actor and debutant producer, besides being voted the sexiest man, John Abraham has much to celebrate this year.
But the Bollywood hunk who turns 40 today, says that instead of looking back at the year gone by, he believes in celebrating the future. "I believe in looking ahead and I think the coming year will be one of the best ones for me," he says. And what lies ahead for John is an action-packed year.
As we catch up with the birthday hottie, he gets candid about all that and more...
Sexy@40
The actor, who has been shooting in Kerala for his production Madras Cafe, plans to be back home today. "Though I'm not into the cake-cutting and singing bit, I do like to spend a quiet, normal day with family and friends," says John. As for the sexy compliments, he says, "Well, they are sweet and always welcome!"
Bollywood Rambo!
"It's easy to flip around on cables, but what I want to do is make it more real. And that's what I am doing with my films, there's more real action, hand-to-hand combats, and kicks," shares John who is further cementing his Action Abraham image with films like Race 2, Shootout At Wadala and Madras Cafe.
Producer power!
John, who hit bull's eye at the box-office with Vicky Donor as a producer and Rs100-crore Housefull 2 as an actor, reveals that he treats the two roles as different identities. "As a producer, I want to marry commerce with content. So the focus is on developing content that has a global appeal. While as an actor, my focus is to make pure entertainers," he explains.
Love bytes!
"Marriage will happen when it has to. Right now, all I can say is that content rules my world! So I am content in my personal space and looking for the right content professionally," he says.
While Vicky Donor had him in a special song, the actor reveals that he will not make an appearance in all his films. "My productions don't need me as an item boy anymore. Content is the king and my films don't need a star to enhance their viability," says John.
