As Eddie Murphy has been crowned as Hollywood's most overpaid actor by Forbes magazine, we decided to check on our Bollywood stars and figure out who fall in the same category.
Sonam Kapoor
As much as she is liked for her fashion sense, she is hated for her acting skills. We think she continues to get films only because of her pretty looks and not because of her acting abilities. And that is a bit unjustified. Or is it? After all, Sonam was nominated at the Golden Kela Award this year for her 'performance' in Mausam.
Akshay Kumar
It's believed that Akshay Kumar charges a bomb for his films. In spite of that, he doesn't have a consistent record with some of his films failing miserably at the box office ( Joker, Tees Maar Khan, Chandni Chowk To China). That's the reason why he makes it to our list.
Katrina Kaif
Although Katrina Kaif has improved her Hindi, her acting skills are still dismal. And she is perhaps one of the top paid actresses in Bollywood currently. Does she deserve all the moolah? We don't think so.
Abhishek Bachchan
It's been more than a decade since Abhishek Bachchan made his Bollywood debut but he still hasn't been able to make his mark in the industry. Many still believe he's in the industry because of his father, Amitabh Bachchan.
Although he has given some okay-ish performances over the years, he has yet to become consistently good at his craft. Is that asking for too much for charging the amount that he does for films?
Tusshar Kapoor
Most of the films he does are either from his sister's Balaji banner or have him playing a mute character. And on top of that he doesn't even act that well. Tusshar Kapoor is clearly one of Bolywood's most overpaid actors.
We would even suggest him to take a leaf out of Uday Chopra who has finally realised that his acting chops are up to no good. Like Uday, perhaps Tusshar can consider some alternate way of staying in cinema?
