Shyam was hot.
Shyam needed to make a re entry instead of introducing a Mrs India track

Shyam was so very important, that he brought out the charm of all others brilliantly.
Once he is gone, show was a kind of off colors !!

Well I think you have not come across Daljeet's interview few days before the show ended. She said Anjali is he soul of the show. I won't agree to that even in my dreams, but again, I had to make this post about my POV about the rest of your post.

Whenever Shyam tried to part them, Arnav & Khushi came closer. He helped her with the job, and she ended up at AR. He indirectly helped her with the heartbeat & her feelings about Arnav. He tried to kill Shashi, and Khushi hugged Arnav for the first time, Arnav paid the hospital bills. One last blow was the terrace hug, which resulted in their marriage. It brought them under one roof forever.

If you think about i, Anjali was a bigger villain than Shyam. She kept on using her brother's money to feed herself & her husband. Spent his 75000 Rs to buy Shyam a watch. Gave him 1 lakh earlier. She claimed to know her chhote well, but did not understand his feelings when La was present. (It was Lavanya who understood him better). Eventually she tried to bring them closer only when Khushi kissed Arnav - one does not have to be genius or your mom-like sister to understand such explicit things. She was jealous like anything when Arnav was nicer with Khushi. Kept on lying to him & kept meeting Shyam, allowed him in the house during god-bharai. Didn't care a damn about Arnav when he came home after kidnap.

This exactly was the time when the TRPs started dipping. They might have increased if they had exposed Anjali in front of Arnav - it would have been an unique track! But that never happened, and here we are...Hope Gul uses this in some other show of hers...

A sister has rights over her brother. This relationship brings forth a beauty and essence in this world
that isn't replicated elsewhere. Siblings have the same blood. A sister living in her brothers home is not any different than her living in her fathers home. A sister that brings up her brother is fulfilling the motherly love as well. Same blood that runs through them. Its a bond that needs to be appreciated.

The show repeatedly shows raksha bandan, bhai dhuj and a whole host of situations where a brothers protection was critical to the sisters survival. It was this instinct that played a catalyst to much of the story.

Saying that Anjali is a villain because money is spent seems cold hearted and not in the spirit of the show. In that sense, NK was a moocher. Is he a villain as well?

well as hard as it may be but yes he played cupid somehow at times reason why arhi cud not come together as well as the reason why they came together his silly tricks that made us laugh as well as fear what he is upto
I really loved Abhaas acting and specially the scene where he comes to know that Khushi has cheated him for saving Arnav
I loved the way his eyes showed anger all red with anger and the way he screamed out Khushi's name It was one of the best scenes portrayed by Shyam/Abhaas
I cudn't help but compare the evilness of Shyam's CHARACTER with another villain Viraj of Saubhgyavati Bhava and was thinking who portrays a villain well. But I REALIZED both actors have played their characters really well
But BEING a ipkknd fan I wished to vote for Shyam Its strange we are affected by ipk so much the characters seem so real
